This Plan B everyone is banging on about. Is that the plan he used against Madrid? Liverpool? He does have a plan B so instead of telling the world he hasn't got one, try instead asking why on earth he never used it.

At least that's then a credible stick to beat him with.

And you might follow that with questions about the application on show from the players.
Sorry, didn't see this before I posted. Your point was made more eloquently than mine.

Fucking plan B? What is this? It seems everyone seems to know what it is.

Let me enlighten you dear Sweetsman...and Archibald & Crooks (do not compare the assumed Plan B that you associate with Liverpool and Madrid as Plan B....neither were a Plan B...God are you that short sighted???!! Do you really think that is our "plan B" ...to suck up pressure and counter attack? Is that it? As a plan B???? Get a grip!).

Plan B would be to do what is not obviously what we seem to do every game against a Premier League "big team" away from home.
Plan B ..would be to NOT play it from the back at every single fucking moment.
Plan B would be to look beyond doing Plan A, which ain't fucking working..Plan A = play from the back because that is our one and only fucking philosophy.
Plan B would be to look at the actual reality of the situation and fucking change it because Plan A clearly ain't fucking working no matter how may times you try it and the fact that it snaps right back in your face..every fucking time.... neither Madrid nor Liverpool were a Plan B FFS......don't be so fucking dumb.
Plan B would be to have the smart to look at what isn't repetitively NOT working and fucking change it during the game because it ain't fucking working.
Plan B ...might just be...don't play it 20 meters in front of you to a full back with the hope that he can then pass it forward to build an attack. With the naive hope that it sucks in their defensive attackers and creates more space for an attack ain't freaking working against the top teams.
Plan B might well be a mental process that recognises that Plan A ( despite its repetition) just ain't working and therefore a change of thought may be required...such as...
Don't play it out from the back every FUCKING time and may be try and do what Citeh did so well...hit a pass from the goalkeeper to someone beyond the half-way line... in order to...
a) Relieve the fucking pressure.
b) Try something fucking different.
Plan B ...might just be a recognition of what ain't working and therefore try something different...such as a Plan B.

Clear as mud.

So, you suggest that our goalkeeper pass to one of our players beyond the half-day line when our goalkeeper's kicking is as potent and accurate as the England bowling attack? Great idea. Kicking the ball aimlessly just gives the ball back to them and allows them to bring even more pressure on us. I Iook forward to your book entitled "How neurosurgeons should know their arses from their elbows".

The Application of the players...is ultimately dependent on what the strategy is. MoPo only had one yesterday ..listen to the Lloris interview...very very revealing..."stick to out principles of building from the back" etc etc..so fucking naive compared to a team that can actually respond and evolve to what is in front of them and the situation that the game delivers.
Great teams respond to what is in front of them, they find a way to overcome and change strategy..they do not stick to Plan fucking one and only A. Christ on a bike.

Almost funny Sweetsman - and I actually respect your opinion. It is more layered than that...yes fucking hump it every now and then and stop being so predictable (Llloris) because MoPo tells you that is our philosophy. I repeat...we have no Plan B.
When it ain't working..Change it...FFS!! Don't stick with it so the opposition know exactly what to expect every fucking time..so they ultimately benefit from it.t!!! Jezuz!!!

My Sunday night finale and a reality check for you all..and this comes from the inside..and a highly valued insider...
1) Dembele is spent.
2) Dele is not the player he was because he believes too much in his past years "wake" - he's become, and I quote " a nasty little shit".who has gone backwards for believing his own hype.
3) We miss Walker. Trippier will never make the grade against top opposition.
4) Rose is not the same player he was.
5) Obviously we miss Toby & Wanyama. The cornerstones of our recent success.
6) The only 2 players we have that are worth their salt this season are Kane & Eriksen.
7) There are no foreseeable replacements and the squad is thin...top 4 will be a major achievement for this team in it current state.
8) MoPo does not currently know his a) Best system or b) Best players.

We're actually at a major point of transition and basically peaked last season....That is the reality.

Back to the drawing board for one and all.

That's a fucking lame retort of the highest order chap. Delete this and your pants and the thread will be better for it.

Yeah because GoalKeepers like Lloris will never be able to kick the ball and start an attack as accurately as Ederson and therefore the mere idea of that as an alternative strategy is beyond comprehension. Jeeezzzz!

You're talking bollocks. Stop doing so and the whole site will be better for it. Three posts since your 'finale' too.

I'm done now. Feel free to make another straw clutching post if it makes you feel better, I'm confident in your chances of winning that title.

There's no point thinking that a one-armed man will be able to swim the butterfly, but I'm sure that the mere idea may not be beyond comprehension.

I'll agree with you on one thing: I am not happy that Poch went into a mano-a-mano contest. In other words, I do believe Plan A was wrong to start with. That said, he probably didn't believe that the personnel who were available could undertake your mooted Plan B. I do wonder whether he was hanging some players out to dry or to show the board that he was trying to take on the best with one arm behind his back. The board may have thought that the CL performances meant that no new players were needed.

I don't think you need to be an insider (please tell me you don't live next door to Sherwood) to come to some of these conclusions. The fact is that Poch is not going to know what his best side is given that his best players are not all there. Also, one can't say that Kane And Eriksen are the only players worth their salt, when you also say that Alderweireld and Wanyama are crucial misses. Also, I think that Alli was going to have a dip at some time, but sadly it's happened when sharks are circling for his signature. Poch has highlighted this in an oblique manner.
