It has been somewhat overlooked how well Mauricio Pochettino is using the squad. Every player is analysed and their fatigue levels are recorded so the coaching staff know who needs a rest.

I suspect that every club at the top level does exactly the same...basic sports science I'd have thought.

Partially true, partally not. He has a core of 9 players who are especially trusted, and it takes more for him to sub them than the other, less trusted players.

I'm glad we're doing the best scientific analysis but the point has almost been reached where every game is massive. Champions League qualification is really important and we're going to be within a couple of points either way. Then both cups matter a lot. We have a realistic chance in the FA Cup and the Europa League gives us another route to the Champions League.

I'll give you a winner rating to balance out the spam rating, since it's a decent honest post.

You would assume that to be the case, but there are some managers who ignore the advice of their staff. I know fitness coaches who have planned sessions only to have the manager change the session to a fun shooting one and have players join in who were supposed to be doing a recovery session.

There are a lot of reasons why this happens and I will tell you we are lucky to have a manager who buys into the science. Not all do. They say they do, but actions don't back them up.
