Just get on with it. I mean he has twenty five players to pick from for two games three days apart.

Nothing to see here.
They prompted the question and he replied 'may be a good idea.'
Must be a slow week.
Must admit I'm f kin sick of hearing this lame excuse being wheeled out after every Europa game.
And that's all it is, a lame excuse.

I think the biggest problem in the EL is the short time to prepare for the opponent in the League. Maybe more a tactical thing.

What about the fans? I prefer not to have to go to the Lane on a Monday night. Saturday is the best day and Sunday is ok but not Monday especially on a regular basis after EL games - no thanks

What a joke ? I work 6 days a week and earn f all. These guys are travel first class, good food, good training and still being playing like a Sunday league team. Just get on with it.

Indeed its just another myth, after all playing on a Thursday/Sunday is so much harder then on a Wednesday/Saturday (CL)

Both teams are in the same position. So why does it matter? In fact, it's worse for Everton as they're away

But yes. He agreed with the interviewer's statement, which is a tad different

I just love these types of responses.

If it's so easy then why don't you do it instead. Oh wait, you're not an elite athlete expected to perform at 100% capacity in front of 36000 fans baying for your blood every game.

When your environment is unstable and there are things affecting your well being your performance will be affected whatever your job is.

I mean, God's sake, some guys struggle to even get a boner if they are stressed out or under pressure!

Don't worry Mauricio, keep going the way you are and you'll have a nice long break from it next season.

Well the Europa League fixtures provide us with no excuse Sunday considering our opposition.

I suppose we will have to resort back to "the pitch is too small".

The guy has done nothing but complain about things that he can't change since he got here.

Concentrate on what you can influence mate, you've been in the job 5 minutes, don't start blaming Thursday-Sunday fixtures, we've had them since 2006.

Hmm I take it no-one in here actually read the article then seeing as some of you are seemingly reacting to just the headline?
