Well, base on our last game, he can start by dropping Chiriches and Ade to just name two.

We don't have any stars, in order words, Madrid won't be calling us any time soon. As usual, we have potential all over the pitch and for us to win anything of note we would need them all to fulfill it at the same time.

Totally agree with Poch and the only thing that gave me some hope after the West Brom game were his post match comments.

In some ways we probably needed this loss because the players were clearly complacent on Sunday and need to realise that they have to keep grafting if they want to succeed.

Hopefully we see a positive reaction tonight, won't be an easy game.

I can agree with that, although we do have potential superstars in Lamela, Eriksen & Lloris. They all need to buy in to what Poch is selling though. The Saints players did that last season, they just effectively gave up any pre-conceptions that they may have had about him as a coach and gave him their full attention - it paid off.

We have a better squad than they had, man for man, at least in terms of footballing ability BUT, right now our players don't have the right mentality, most likely due to previous management. If the players wake up then Poch will steer us into the right position - I'm sure of it.

The mental side of this sport shouldn't be under-estimated. IMO, it's the only place that we're lacking right now.

Maybe he needs to look at himself and his plan A a little Bit too.
Or just maybe it takes a while to get a team playing his plan A properly?

And before he ditches it totally he'd like to see us actually play it like Southampton eventually did (and have thrived since learning it)

That's called being stubborn.
It's what's making Manchester United a laughing stock, it's what got AVB sacked.

Really?

So if you are teaching Spanish, and for the first few weeks you're students are not really getting to grips with it and becoming frustrated. Do you then turn to French instead?

If you know a way of playing works, and can see it being learnt in training but not yet being implemented on the pitch why would you just toss that away?

Things are learnt slowly especially when you are older, but there comes a point when the skills you are learning just become easier and easier until they're second nature, it is when we are at that point that it begins just seeping into our game.

Adam Lallana (sp?) and Schneiderlin both said it took the Southampton players 4+ months to properly learn Poch's way of playing but that when they did, it became evident on the pitch.

I'd rather wait for that to happen (gonna take a bit longer here i feel due to intelligence of players and unrealistic expectations of fans) before just packing it up and starting again.

Amazing. Reading the quotes it could be Sherwood speaking...and he got a dogs abuse for being honest.

It think it was the fact it was allied with such honesty as "I'm the best Spurs manager ever"
and other such instances of blowing smoke up one's own arse that contributed to the "dogs abuse"

Not so much the message that was a problem but the messenger

I think you might struggle to find an example of Sherwood actually saying that, even though statistically, albeit for a very short period, I think he was our most successful manager.

From the Independent.
"My record here is second to none," raved Tim Sherwood. "My win percentage is the best of any Tottenham manager. I'm the best manager this club's ever seen!"

Some say it was tongue in cheek and i would agree, (but only in a different cheek)

I can put your points in a different context

What if you were teaching Spanish to someone in such a way that they had no chance of learning? For instance, speaking to then in French instead of English to teach them?
Or, more specifically, what if you teach someone Spanish to prepare them for a conversation with a man from China? It's not gonna work is it?

I still genuinely believe with regards to Southampton that
A) They were on the up under Adkins, not exclusively because of Pochettino
B) They weren't nearly as good as everyone hyped them up to be
C) They've settled fecking quickly under a new manager and half a new starting 11 and actually look much better now
