Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino's apparent joke about where his team would stay in Madrid for the Champions League final appears to have backfired - and prompted Real Madrid to release an official statement.

The thing I found strangest is the fact that this made the "front" of the BBC Sport website.

Real Madrid = Super Cereal.

It's as if they have no sense of humour whatsoever.

Dude, a few weeks back, the most viewed story on the front page of BBC News was a video of a bear on a swing in someone's garden.

Lads, I need your help!

I live in Belfast and would maybe get over to 2 or 3 games a season. I'm therefore not a member or a season ticket holder but have flights to London and hotels booked for the game next Saturday. I'd love to watch the live screening and see the new stadium for the first time as well - what an occasion it will be! Anyhow, tickets to the live screening go on sale to 'guests' on Tuesday morning at 10am via the official site. The only issue is that these guest tickets can only be purchased by either One Hotspur Members or Season Ticket holders. I was therefore wondering if any Spurs Community Members would be able to help with purchasing 2 tickets to the live screening for me?? I'll transfer the cash in advance to you via paypal and in return, I will also make a donation to this excellent site. If you can and are willing to help then please pm me! Cheers in advance! Tony COYS!

Are we actually trolling Real Madrid?
How much can we do it before they twig?
We should start meeting their players buy out clauses and pretend we're going to sign them.

For most of today the main three sports headlines have featured women’s hockey, netball and football.
I’ve just disabled their app on my phone as I think they employed a 14 year old as their web content editor recently!

I think BBC and Sky are really trying to shove women's football down our throats.
Every sport has it's own page on both those websites but they insist on mixing the womens football news in with the mens.
They can try all they like, its uninteresting and only gets clicks because people think it's about the mens teams.

They have the tv rights for womens football. Ofcourse they are trying to promote it. Doubt it will work but must be good for the womens game.

UGH what a load of nonsense. Spurs Ladies just won promotion to the women's super league, just FYI.

The BBC has the rights to so few sports now, you’ll bet they’ll be all over the women’s football. Try it, you might like it.

Tho it always confuses me on the Guardian site as they don’t put any kind of indication it’s women’s football, so I always double take at the scores and think it’s a premier league game

It's not sexism. I follow the THFC Mens team. I want women's football news mixed in with the mens news as much as I want F1 news mixed in with it. That's the point of having a menu on the website, to refine the news to what you want.

Do you have no interest in the youth teams either?
I support Spurs and therefore have an interest in any team representing the club. Football is football, no matter who's playing it.

Probably a better thread somewhere for this though.
