Maybe my mind is working overtime but.....
Has anyone considered the fact that Poch, unlike many of the majority of managers, is using the Summer break and overseas tournaments to fully evaluate what he already had in his existing squad rather than simply try to integrate the new players he has recently acquired ??. Maybe when Spurs fly home he will be more confident of where the weaknesses in the team lie and realise who he wants to fill the gaps.
It's only a theory but if it's true then we should see a flurry of activity for two, possibly three players a couple of days following the match against Manchester City on 29th.
If that is the case then it could be considered a master stroke whereby weak links are clearly identified and strengthened at a purchase price relative to the impending closure of the transfer window, thereby possibly acquiring some bargain buys ?

Just a thought...but knowing Levy's deviousness and Poch's natural reluctance to just buy for the sake of it following the Soldado and Sissoko disasters then maybe it has a ring of truth to it. The first week of August will be the deciding factor. Interesting times ahead....
