Ultimately he knows it’s about what goes on on the pitch and winning games. If he and the team manage that then everything will be alright.

Although I do think that there is a subset of fans who are more interested about what happens around football with the 90 minutes on a Saturday quite low down the list when it should be at number one.

He really is a very classy guy and we are extraordinarily lucky to have him.
The comments about loyalty and family are meant sincerely I think, and it is so unusual in the football world these days to hear such eloquent statements of loyalty.
I’m feeling a lot more confident now that he’s in it for the long term, and that he won’t leave the club until he’s achieved something.

It strikes me that Poch doesn't need to say even half of what he has here about Levy. He could've focused on on-pitch matters or just made the odd comment but he's openly praised Levy and at length as well.

Our fanbase has spent much of the summer arguing amongst themselves over whether Levy is great or an evil bastard so if we won't listen to each other then we should at least listen to Poch.

One of the first and best things I ever learnt in management is that you don’t blame your bosses for policies and plans. Your job is to get those working for you on board and get the best out of them. Putting the blame on bosses backfires by making you look small and powerless and undermines the organisation. So Poch whatever he really thinks does a brilliant job in keeping people on board

The key word in all of that is 'patient'. I am so happy Poch is being patient because this is a long term project. We will get there it just seems we're not really progressing at the moment, just standing still while we transition into the new Stadium. The fact we're still in the Champions League shows how strong we are. I still think we should be happy with top 4 again this season. I just hope we can add a trophy to it this time to keep our stars happy.

Hopefully next season is the one where we really push on. Maybe we can this season but it will be tough. If anything the stadium came at the wrong time for us. We did so well for 2 seasons and then the move to Wembley seemed to put a hold to our progress. Now we have to ensure we stay competitive. Next summer will be huge for us.

Impossible to say what his long term ambitions are. I believe he could have landed a job at one of the biggest clubs already if he wanted it. I think he's probably refining his craft at the moment so we are a good fit for him.

Yep, my sense of his demeanour and language seems to be a continuation of his last few games last season. He appears to be presenting a narrative that is defiant and defensive in its nature, rather than progressive. This is definitely not a swipe at him because he’s been exceptional for us, just that his persona seems to be more concentrated on this season rather than a project that runs beyond that

Right you are...the "blame the boss" continues to be a tried and untrue method though, beloved by many in all sorts of organisations, football included (Mourinho....). And it always ends up as you say, the whinger ends up looking to idiot, and before you know it you have the guys below you running to the N+1 and complaining about you, now that you've introduced that culture, and mentioning by-the-by your complaints about him, and we all know how that turns out.

In football it's even worse, as it's all done in the papers....

Not just being a delusional Spurs fan, but there really aren't all that many bigger jobs. Real Madrid, Barca, Man U, and a hanful more are tangibly and unarguably more prestigious clubs than we are, would offer a bigger salary and higher profile. But a lot of those jobs come with ejecting seats, as do the other clubs offering no doubt bigger wages.

And considering that Poch's success and preferred operating conditions are at a club where he has a unified, ego-free squad, preferably of young players he can mould, none of those clubs even vaguely corresponds.
