Could it actually happen?

I read an article earlier saying how we've already been cautioned/fined once this season for not controlling our players so a fine may not be enough? It's not happened since 1990 apparently and that was a full on brawl.

Surely those handbags yesterday aren't enough to get a Pts deduction.

Shitting it a little bit, didn't cross my mind until I read that article.

Please no.

Can anyone shed any light on this and when the FA are likely to make a decision about the reprocussions to teams and individuals about last nights game?

I read somewhere chelscum already had been charged twice before yesterday for failure to control their players.. Third time coming.. Points deduction? They better get relegated I hope..

As much as it would be way beyond the realms of fantasy, can you imagine that happening!? I would be euphoric!! Of course that won't happen but dream I will :D:D

Not an option don't worry.
Can you imagine what would happen if they tried it? They'd be up in court before the ink was dry on the paperwork, our Daniel would tear them a new one.

You would imagine as a team with no red cards this season (somehow) and only second time for failing to control players we could easily argue Chelsea have done it for a third time why not them as well.

Not to worry, that would only have happened had we won the league, so we could add to our list the 1st team to...

£30,000 fine and a warning about future conduct, with Dembele getting a 4 game ban is the most I can see happening.

Not a chance. There has been numerous occasions where similar has happened with other teams and no points deduction.

that was a great game to watch - even neutral observers could enjoy that game. the FA may turn up their noses but that was good old fashioned football.

There's not going to be a points deduction but if that's the case involving Chelsea being told off a 3rd time there's no way they'll dock them points. In fact I can't imagine two worse chairmen's clubs to deduct points from than Levy and abramovich. If there's two guys you don't want to be sued by its those two.

If it was old fashioned football they wouldn't have been rolling around and screaming at the referee.

To be honest, in the grand scheme of things the game yesterday wasn't that dirty

Some of the old Chelsea/Arsenal or Man Utd/Arsenal or Leeds/Arsenal games within the PL era were far worse

No one got injured, no one got sent off, no one threw an actual punch or a head-butt

Just a lot 'archie-bargie' and a few flying tackles - yet the media react as though it's WWIII

Points deduction for bringing the game into disrepute my arse. That game was a great advert for football. Chelsea fans are wishing their team showed half that amount of passion this season and it's obvious our team spirit is in great nick. A bit of a fine, won't be even a drop in our financial ocean.

I suspect such action would only happen if there was a suspended points deduction already in place.

I think Costa was very close to sticking an elbow in Vertonghen then was on the cusp of sticking his head in.
I think from our players point of view, standing on hands and eye gouging is just embarrassing quite frankly.
Although i will admit to having some admiration for how Lamela did it so well without even looking.
