A nothing thread really, but after re watching both goals against our London rivals this season, I cannot decide which one I prefer.

Son's goal against Chelsea where after a quick long kick from Lloris, then a controlled then sublime pass from Dele to Son he out paced and outwitted three Chelsea players before beating the keeper to score.

or

Dele's goal after another quick long kick, this time by Gazzaniga, then another good chest control then sublime pass this time by Kane to Dele, who beat the offside trap and out run the Arsenal defenders to casually chip the ball with the outside of his right foot over oncoming keeper to score.

I honestly cannot decide which was better.

Dele’s goal for me. Can totally see it either way though. I just thought the swagger of Alli’s finish is something that I would really associate with world class players of times gone by and I love to see it! It really summed Alli up as an attacking player though. Perfectly timed run, good athleticism to get on the end of it, perfect touch and then he is just ice cold in front of goal. Love having players like this in our team! And the guy is 22, he’s gonna be an incredible player at his peak!

Dele. The idiot Smith in commentary described it as if it was on the training ground in a NLD away from home. He made it look easy. But also add Kane's pass. The weight was perfect, Dele's first touch then just like that lifts it over Cech whose face was priceless to boot. It was the second and actually made me feel so much more comfortable. Oh and it was at the away end so they could celebrate in front of our lot.

Will never tire watching it.

Dele's for me. The pass from Kane and the control from Dele was incredible. Perfect NLD goal.

Kanes pass was unbelievable the control on the chest and that ball after fucking animal. Son’s goal was a beauty too that delicate touch with the outside of the boot before he burys it

Dele. Sublime skill but also exceptional vision and pass from Kane. Son's was spectacular as any Bale strike, but was essentially a solo effort.

Aren’t we lucky to be able to have this debate about two such great goals. Alli for me but I can see why anyone would go for the brilliance of Son’s goal.

Every time I watch Son’s goal I increasingly notice the poor defending. It shouldn’t detract from a great goal but it does.

Every time I watch Dele’s goal I don’t even notice any Arsenal players, just that majestic, nonchalant finish.

I touched on the subject of Kane's pass in the match thread - using the invented word 'Hoddlesque' ...

Those of us who are of a certain generation saw Glenn Hoddle pinging balls like that to Clive Allen, Tony Galvin and of course Steve Archibald and Garth Crooks on a regular basis.

Harry has shown us glimpses of this part of his game in the past but on Wednesday night against Arsenal
the look up and delivery to Dele was sublime and probably destroyed any thoughts of their realistically getting back in the game. They had been sliced open and were chasing the game after that.

Kudos to HK, DA and Gaza... but not taking anything away from Son and Hugo either.

Hugo?????

Anyway, I prefer Dele's cause of the sheer audacity of it. the first goal was sweet too. Lucas has no right winning the ball so high up and some how finding Dele.

The vote is about Son’s goal versus Chelsea. I know it’s easy to assume it’s about both goals on Weds.

Both great goals. How lucky are we at the moment to have such wonderful players.

Son's was a great run and finish, but Dele's touch and composure to chip Cech was sublime...

Dele's goal was a sublime bit of skill but the context in which he scored it takes to a whole different level. The audacity of it was quite delicious and the only thing that could possibly made it sweeter would have been a shrug of the shoulders.
