They say the spine of the team ( GK, CD, CM, CF ) is all important.
2 years ago we had :
An in- form Robbo, King, Carrick, A hot Defoe . Everyone said we were England's team of the future
Now we have:
Robbo with confidence shot, the wandering Kaboul, the hopeless Zokora and a don't give a toss Berbatov.
No wonder we are in the bottom 3 where 2 years ago we are in the top 3.
Hope Ramos can sort it out but right now the signs are we are set for a relegation dog fight.

Yeah well unfortunately King is out and Dawson should have stepped up to the responsibility but he hasn't. I just watched Blackburns goals and Dawson was at fault once again. He'll HAVE to go, he is a LIABILITY. God, I'm so sick of teams scoring blinders against us.

I think Mido was the important factor two years ago more than Defoe but point taken

The problem for Dawson is that we are defending so deep because as a team we have a lack of self belief. 2 years ago when he looked like he was going to be a future England regular the defence played much higher and he attacked the ball or the space and literally put his head on everything before it ever got into a dangerous area. Ramos will sort that.

I can see you shied away from blaming the real culprits! Robbo, Dawson, Zokora, Keane.

How can you blame Kaboul when he has been at fault for fewer goals than Dawson?
And blaming Berbs when Keane has been poor too hardly smacks of honesty!

The strong British spine gives us as much support as a wet noodle. Fuck British, Buy the Best!

Keanes our top scorer mate, Berbs is our top earner and sulker thus crticism justified. Our problem is defence fuck all this typical know it all journo runbish "spine of the team" my ass. Our problem has been we lack a leader and our defence are just stupid, good players but stupid.

The one good thing about Ramos coming to the club, is hopefully, he will buy a new captain and we can get away from this idea that Ledley King will 'magically' become permanently fit again and lead the team to glory.
The spine begins with the captain and we haven't had one for a long time.

The thing is that our defence is the first barrier the opposition gets to - one line of defence.

We used to have 3 lines of defence!
1) a midfield!
2) a holding midfielder sitting between defence and midfield
3) the central defenders

Now teams carve us open!! hot knife and butter. It is that easy.

Where is our Blanchflower;/Roy Keane/Graham Roberts.
We need an enforcer and NOW!

midfield sucks big time, need to axe 3/4 of them. we need creativity & stability. we have neither.
