Dele Alli has the quality to become ‘one of the best ever’ Tottenham players, but Gus Poyet is concerned the midfielder is focused more on life outside of football than his form on the pitch.
Dele's been carrying an injury and to me it's very clear. What's so shocking though is how some of our fans have turned quickly on him. Since Alli came to us from MK Dons he has been nothing more than phenomenal just take a minute and look at his stats. This seasons been a slog from the world cup semi final up till potentially CL final.
He does need a reset of some sort. Like the two Harrys, he could probably do with a recovering and rejuvenating summer focused on health, healing and the mental game rather than playing any footy at all. There's a sense he's been found out a bit, and he needs to reassert himself as a threat in the final third.
Call him out for form if you want, but honestly, such lazy cliched BS from these 'experts'. So he has his own business he tries to promote. He really doesn't post much about it to be fair, but so what?? Do they think he misses training to do it? Of course not. And what, we'd prefer him to be out drinking instead?? Sometimes people can't win.
