Hope Kane is nowhere near the squad, and I hope it’s made clear that it’s because we want to reward and push players who want to be here and have shown professionalism throughout pre-season, with some even returning early.

Hope Kane starts tomorrow, only in order to show Man City that he remains our player and we are willing to play him until they come up with the reddies.

Doherty - Sanchez scares me. I really hope Nuno opts for Tanganga or even Serge. The latter isn't perfect but he's pretty decent on his day.

... Japhet is carrying a knock and Serge has featured for about 20 minutes in preseason. It just seems like this is the way it's going.

I'd swap out several of these players if I ran the zoo (which, lucky for you, I don't!)

Very good goalkeeper, defence screams mediocrity, an okay midfield with not too much creativity and inconsistent players upfront. Still think we could get a result if things go our way, but boy do we need to integrate some quality players in our XI..

i think Nuno said Tanganga was back training with the group.

Also, how many minutes has Doherty got under his belt this pre-season.

I also get the impression that whilst some managers would change their formation and have specific tactics against City, it feels like Nuno is ready to meet them head on with his 4-3-3. Whilst Mourinho parked the bus and won both his two home games against City, I think I prefer Nuno’s ‘too dare is to do’ approach. Especially if he thinks we’ll be fitter than them.

I think that might cause a pretty toxic atmosphere in the stadium. Don't want our first full crowd to endure that. What if he puts in a half arsed performance? He should be kept well away from the place while things are this heated.
