Lloris
Aurier Sanchez Vertonghen Davies
Sissoko Amos Eriksen
Lucas Llorente Son

Bench:
Vorm Walker-Peters Dier Dembele Lamela Dele Kane

Real shame about Lamela - a front 3 of Lucas Son Lamela would have been exciting. Doubt he’ll start now.

Are the WC players due back?

I thought that some might be involved for a bit tomorrow but guessing not as doesnt seem like they are back yet

I don't think Kane will start if he doesn't get some minutes tomorrow.

Don't think they're back until Monday.

I stomach Sissoko, but I throw up in my mouth anytime I see the name Llorente when referencing the Spurs.

Am I wrong for that?

Can’t see Kane or Vertonghen starting.

Vorm; Aurier, Sanchez, Foyth, Davies; Amos, Eriksen; Moura, uh... Son?

Can we even put out 11? :cautious:

If Foyth is injured, then either Dier, Vertonghen or Alderweireld will have to start. Either that or Sanchez and CCV.

Son will definitely play, he's only going off to the Asian Games after the game. If Sissoko is fit then he will play also. I don't think Poch was too worried about his injury.

If the WC players can't start then it will be this:

Vorm
Aurier -- CCV -- Sanchez -- Davies
Amos
Sissoko -- Eriksen
Lucas -------------Son
Llorente

Pretty decent! ...If it was the league cup :lurking:

I could see Poch, to make a point, playing none of the WC players coming back this week, if he's not happy with signings.

Just to show the lack of depth in the squad.

Have no idea until the transfer window closes. But I am looking forward to the Community Predictor competition this year. Maybe I can actually win it rather than just getting near!

I hope Verts, Dier and Harry come back reasonably fit. We’re going to need those 3 particularly next Saturday I feel.

Given the pre season we've had and the fact that a lot of our players aren't due back until tomorrow, the 11/4 Skybet are offering about a Newcastle win is an amazing price.

With Walker and Stones both starting today for City I see no reason why all of the semi finalists shouldn't be starting next week if they are without injuries. I think we'll see a much stronger starting 11 than we were expecting.

You think he'd risk shipping EPL points to make some half arsed point about our transfer policy?

I think we'll see as strong as we can put out, personally.

As others have said they've had an intense pre season already and then a nice 3 week break. It's not like they haven't been staying fit, I'm sure they've all been training hard still this last week. The only two that may not start are Trippier and Dele, Dele because he had an injury at World Cup but wouldn't be surprised to see him start too.

Yeah those were the two I could see potentially missing out also, but there's no way Kane won't start for instance. They should be raring to go and lets face it, we don't exactly have outstanding options to fill in on any precautionary measures either.
