Woolwich have the chavs up next, they might need a relegation thread on ArseMania.

It's been one game.
It could be a whole season worth of games and it won't matter. Shit, Emery doesn't even matter. Mangers aren't their problem. Talent is.

Put it this way, how many clubs the size of Arsenal or bigger would be in for any of their players right now? I'm struggling to think of any. Compare that to the other 5 teams Arsenal are competing with. Tons of players would draw interest. Arsenal have alowed a giant talent gap to open up between them and the rest of the other big clubs.

Think people might be writing Arsenal off too soon. City looked in cruise control but you wouldn't expect Emery to really have made a huge mark on the team yet. That said I don't think they'll finish in the top 4.

To be fair to Arsenal, it's hard to gauge their level when it's City they're playing against. We've been made to look very amateur numerous times by this City.

That being said I did think their signings were important and good ones but I'm not sure I'll end up convinced now, their team still looks quite weak. Even with us and Kane out, you can at least say that Eriksen, Son, Dele and even potentially Lamela will most likely step up. I'm not sure who in that Arsenal team I'd have confidence in to step up, even when all fit.
That's the thing. Today's City were nowhere near the team who played us off the park twice last season, and they still more or less walked the game.

I appreciate a game against the runaway champions is not a great barometer as to how far Arsenal have progressed, but considering they signed players early and had a full pre-season with very few players in the WC - they weren't particularly impressive at all. I expected them to come out firing today if they realistically wanted to put a marker down, and they didn't get in to the game until about 35-40 minutes.

Yeah I agree with all of that, I will say though that I think even this City team would be difficult to play against. But yeah, similar to West Ham in the first game really in that both them and Arsenal had tough games, but regardless both teams felt no different to them of last season, despite supposed overhauls with both.

Kennedy needs to keep it simple, a few times he's tried flicks and tricks when not needed.

Also Cardiff don't seem to have much about them, would be surprised if they don't really struggle this season.

Kenedy is always shit when I watch him play. Makes a lot of mistakes.

Except against Spurs, when he's usually ok.
