Very different aura about spam.

Pelican already having a stabilising effect on them.

They look more organised, overall, and disciplined, better drilled and much, much calmer and composed.

And as soon as I post this pool score. :D

I've thought the opposite. Thought they looked woeful at the back. Noble and Wheelchair pass to the opposition more than to their own players. And they've no offensive strategy at all.

The real plus for us is that they won't do their 11 behind the ball routine against us this year. Looks like Pellegrini wants them to be a front foot side, and they should be a lot easier to pick apart.

Pellegrini still doesn't have any idea how to organize a defense. Spam is going to leak goals all season.

His reputation is a little falsely inflated. There are probably 60+ managers who could win a title with Man City. His best achievements are over ten years ago at Villarreal.

I was hoping to see WH hold on to 1-0 for HT.

It's gonna get messy and the media will be unbearable.

They a far inferior team to pool and are forced to go through wheelchair who's not being given much time.

My prediction is they will have a decent season - new players will bed in properly and Pelican will stabilise their game.

Of course, it'd be a joy if it all goes tits south and we get to laugh hard at them in their treasure trove of a thread on here.

Would much prefer that, naturally.

West Ham have spent all that money and they're somehow worse than last season.
Should've taken Levy's approach.

Defensively they’ve been awful
Didn't catch the run up to the second goal as was posting, but the first was Fredericks getting caught a bit in headlights, trying to play offside and caught in two minds.

Still got a lot of time for him and think he'll do well, but that wasn't a good start by him.

Awful defending for that 2nd goal. They just switched off and watched.

Bar the two goals, they already look better than last season's shite show imo.

Different feel about them.

Pelligrini will sort them out.
