People still think this scum team's trifling?

Too much denial about too many things with us.

They are on the rise.

Plenty of people on here, including myself, were saying they'd done good business and would be dark horses this season.

It's going to be extremely competitive but we've got a lot of gears to work through still, hopefully.

Arsenal are and always have been good going forward, but their defence is still a shambles

Was hoping this would be the game where Arsenal would get shown up, unfortunately that's been far from the case.

This isn't the first time Liverpool have looked subpar though, they did massively against us even but we were in poor form and unlike Arsenal, we were naive and left tonnes of space on the flanks and in behind for them to expose.

Not gonna start claiming that Liverpool are now shit though just because Arsenal are coping fairly well against them though.

BT saying the goal should have stood because peter Walton says so. He was worse than Jon moss as a ref. I wouldn’t rely on his judgement for any officiating decisions.

Really not surprising, Uni is a great manager. I got chastised for saying the same before the season started. He will take Arsenal far if they continue to buy well. They are by no means perfect but they play good football. Next season could see them properly reclaim top four.

On a side note, this match is very entertaining.

There’s been more fire in the bellies of the arsenal players than the dippers in this game but it’s still an open game.

Our critical challenge is keeping players fit.

One or two key injuries and the squad looks bare.

Precarious.

You take Liverpool out of Liverpool and play clever football then they crumble defensively.

Joe Gomez looks like a great defender already. Liverpool have done really well with him and TAA.

I've been told by someone who worked with him that he obsesses over data and is very analytical - he'd watch videos over and over and then explain play to the players in specifics, so it seems the AVB comparisons have some merit in the sense that he is more on that side than the 'human touch' aspect. It seems to be going well for him at Arsenal but I know that to some it became tiring and the players wanted a little more freedom.

Maybe he suits a club with less superstars? I also know that he had big concerns regarding the quality of the Arsenal squad when he first arrived.

They are very credible contenders for top four this season. And I said that even before this match. We have find our mojo or we will be left behind.

You've got any evidence of these gears (this year)? I've only noticed the 1 forward one and a few reverse. And it's hard to utilize gears when there no engine (MF).

It's better to be objective and admit that they may just have our number this year. As shit as their MF is it is still better than ours. And their front 4 will make Tripps and Davies look silly in trying to keep up with their movement. If they play as they have played today we will get done.

I think Arsenal look really good- very organised and well drilled, forwards looking dangerous, closing Liverpool down quickly, and much fitter than last season.
It's gonna be a hell of a challenge for us to keep up with them this year.

Best result for us is a draw so hopefully will stay the same second half. If we win then up to forth and 3 points off Liverpool and above Arsenal

And if Chelsea buys a proper striker in Jan, it’s going to be even tougher for us to break the top four but I still feel it’s doable (provided we get a couple of players in the winter window to strengthen the squad).

I agree they could, I just think they lack enough depth + Europa League to last the distance considering the high intensity of the race. That could change in Jan tho.

They did bloody well to get Gomez off Charlton for a few million. Cracking player. And TAA looks a complete natural in the men's game. Fair play to them.
