Yeah, I think there was whiffs of 'barca want to sell outright' or 'complications with buyback' etc etc etc. But to have been available for 3 TWs (if you include Jan window) and end up at Everton, though with a Portuguese manager that presumably knows him, says to me that Poch may not have wanted him.

I wanted him in the summer as it made sense and I knew he was better than what we had. After seeing his transition to the PL thus far it only makes me angry. Now the f*cking info we will hear is that Barca want too much money after his performance in the PL during his loan year when we could have had him for a song.

Don't forget Bernard, Digne, and Zouma who were all starting until Mina replaced Zouma. Zouma and Gomes on loan to fill gaps in squad which we seem to now look unfavorably on and prefer to be caught short.

Yes, I mentioned that there were issues with buybacks or some other shit - as reported by ITK at the time. But he was also apparently available for a loan in a position where we needed help.

But the statement I responded to was Poch wanting said player. There is a difference between Poch wanting a player and Barca actively shopping a player around Europe that has had a torrid time, the fans are berating, and the player has said he wants out...for more than a season.

And what was the issue that was not his ability? If Poch wanted him then financials can be arranged to take care of that. Or was it that we had no f*cking money? But that still doesn't change the fact that we could have used him on loan, a loan that Everton are prospering from and we will suffer in December.
