Swansea - Newcastle kicks off the Easter Weekend in about 20 minutes. Should be a really good game.

Newcastle going to Swansea with Ba-Cisse with Ben Arfa somewhere behind. Could really backfire for them if they get starved of the ball.

Not the start we needed. Newcastle are a real threat, no question.

Man can he finish. Caulker should have got across quicker IMO.

I think it was a bit of both for that goal, neither centreback seemed alert to the danger until it was too late.

Same, really want Swansea to win this. Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa look pretty good as the front trio.

And what on earth is that new Newcastle chant, fucking annoying.

Caulker seeing a lot of the ball this first half and making some nice forays forward - wonder if he will be in the mix with us next season or will be loaned out again.

Dyer has been garbage, and I'm starting to see why people want Joe Allen if Modric ever leaves us.

Allen has been pulling the strings in midfield ala Modric although Sigurdsson looks a very good prospect as well.

They may be losing but I've been immensely impressed by Swansea once again. True, they're not creating many clear cut chances, but with that much possession you wonder what players of the calibre that we possess would be able to do. It's a tantalizing prospect.

Please go for Rodgers Daniel.

It is strange that with probably at least 75% possession throughout that whole half that they've created next to fuck all.

Actually saying that, it's like when teams come to WHL, sit back and as a result we struggle but the only difference is that Swansea intend to make the match like that.

I actually think that (at least in our case anyway) it helps when the other team has a bit of the ball and move men forward, otherwise it becomes really difficult to find spaces.

I admire Rodgers and the way they play but apart from the game they beat Arsenal I've always been quite bored watching them I'm not sure all of WHL would take to this style (not saying everyone). I guess with better players they would have more cutting edge though, but I still think I'd rather see Rodgers have another season in the prem before we thought oh hiring him. No one really knows how he deals with a bad run or high levels of pressure either.

You make a valid point AJ and it's definately something to take into consideration should we pursue Rodgers but ultimately at least we should be controlling the games which in turn should minimise the threat in us losing matches.

Even with our current style of play and certainly under 442, there were times where the opposition would be well on top. With this methodical and patient build up, our personnel coupled with a striker like Adebayor I'd hazard a guess we will do just fine under Rodgers stewardship.

Yea that's true, but in all honesty, I think even as we are now, we've controlled almost every game at WHL, the only ones that we haven't off the top of my head have been Arsenal, Chelsea and Swansea (I'm not counting the City one lol...) yet we won 2 of those and drew the other. It may just help us play more of the game we see us play at WHL away from home though as we're certainly not as 'pretty' away from home.

I don't know if it would be a reason to look the other way, in concern with Rodgers, probably not but like you said it's something to think about I guess.
