I have long thought this and a few have agreed. Since drugs are so prevalent in sport and competition nurtures invention, wouldn't a worldwide competition that is pro all enhancements push forward medical knowledge and human limits far more than the current setup?
I think that when the 1st times are taken, they'd be very close to the existing ones as I am guessing a lot of atheletes are doping anyway. Its only when major sponsors like the pharmacoms get involved that the times would go down significantly.
