Has Poch taken Spurs as far as he can ? Perhaps this is as good as it gets with him and last season was the high water mark ? I don’t know the answer to these questions but we clearly need a couple of top draw players in January or we face a season of drift.

Agree. I think Levy has left Poch high and dry by not adding players to the squad who push the starting eleven to up their game.

I think a much more likely scenario is that ENIC will be looking to sell up now that they've dramatically increased the value of the club and now have enormous tangible assets to tempt a buyer in.

The general current performance of the team is fairly irrelevant, and I don't believe Levy has another 5 year plan in place ready to go. The stadium was his ultimate goal and will be his legacy to the club, and props to him for that, he deserves enormous credit. He's unlikely to be the chairman to take the club forwards into trophy winning territory though.
Agree with this .the America football pitch opens up for wealthy American Investment.

You could well be right, but after making the commercial investment, he should be wanting and waiting for his investment (in the NFL)
to mature and bear fruit..this will take time so I don't expect him to sell in the near future.

Strange game. Felt like one of those early games away to a League 1 team, seeing as we utterly outclassed them only for unacceptable mistakes due to lack of concentration leading to a draw (and an annoying rematch where we will thonk them 4-0).

Partly it was positive, since we played a good game with quite a few players that have struggled up until now showing good signs. In terms of game management, maybe it wasn't necassary for us to split the CB that much in the build up when we lost the ball before the red card. At that point, hopeful punts in the general direction of Lozano were their only attacking plan, and at no point should he have that much space even when we had the ball. It was all about concentration and underestimating the opponent. It felt like they hadn't touched the ball for the entire half up until Eriksen gave the ball away, but we should know better.

Not really their fault - you just wouldn't expect Eriksen to hand the ball straight to an opponent in that situation.

Also, does Vorm coming on mean that Gazzaniga is back down the pecking order?

Sincerely hope not, I like the guy and think he should at least be our number two......I definitely rate him better than Vorm.[/QUOTE]

For me the problem lies with Poch insisting on keeping Hugo as captain. It was one thing dropping a player as a punishment for crass tackles but much harder if that player is the club captain. My own view is that Gazza earned the right to be given the chance as number 2 and would love to see him getting the next 3 EC games.

I think the sending off was more for the nature of the tackle rather than denying a goal scoring opportunity...Lloris went in with both feet and the lad could have been seriously injured. It was a rash and unnecessary challenge that has ultimately cost us three points....the referee should never had such a decision to make...Hugo should not have rushed out of his area like that.....we will agree to differ (y)

It cost us the 3 points but shouldn't have if that linesman hadn't wrongly rule out a good goal. Perhaps Hugo wouldn't have been so rash had the score been 3 - 1. Lady Luck didn't smile on us that evening.
