When: Wednesday, October 24th 2018

Where: Philips Stadion Eindhoven

Kick Off: 5.55pm

Referee: Slavko Vinic

Team Form - PSV WWLWW Spurs DWLWW - (in all competitions)

The only previous meetings between us were in the last 16 of the 2007 - 2008 UEFA Cup. Both sides won 1-0 way from home, before PSV progressed 6-5 via penalty shootout.

PSV have won just two of their last 15 Champions League games against English opponents (vs Arsenal in Feb 2007 and Man Utd in September 2015, having won their first 3 such matches in the competition.

We have won 5 of our 8 away games vs Dutch opponents in European competition (D1 L2), with our last defeat coming at Feyenoord in March 1992 (0-1 in the Cup Winners Cup).

PSV are winless in each of their last 10 CL games (D4 L6), their worst ever run in the competition. We have lost our last 3 European matches, all in the CL, but we have never lost 4 consecutive major European matches in a row. Only Viktoria Pizen 97) have conceded more goals in this season's CL than both PSV and us (6).

We are the first English side to lose our opening two CL group stage since Arsenal in 2015-16, only two English sides have lost their opening 3 group games - Newcastle in 2002-03 and Blackburn Rover in 1995-96.

Harry Kane is averaging a goal a game in away CL matches (6-6) and has scored 60% of his goals away from home (6-10)

Thanks again old chap.
.
Predicting a win for us. I'll take ugly.
.
Add the cliche 'must win' to the mix.

Indulge a cretin with a poor GCSE Maths grade. We need to beat PSV x2, do Inter at 'home' and get something (!) from Barca to ensure qualification, right?

Depends if inter lose both games against Barca, if they beat them once, lose to us and beat psv then they will have 12 points, whereas if we beat psv twice, inter and draw with barca we will only have 10 points.

10 points is the minimum we need to aim for and hope Barca win their remaining games apart from against us.

I think thats a tall order in honesty. The Inter game losing like that really fucked us in the ass. Theyre in good form and guess who kick started their form? WE DID - THE GIFT GIVERS

I really hope we win this and keep our hopes going

I agree it's a tall order, and it's unlikely we will qualify. We really needed atleast a point in Italy.

Unfortunately I think Inter will get a point against Barca. Not sure how we'll do but it won't be easy.

The big news for people that don't follow spanish football is that messi fucked his arm and is out for both inter games but will probably be fit for our game. Things aren't looking great to be honest.

The players already know how crucial this, so I am expecting a big performance from our big boys.

Picking a team on reputation rather than form isn't going to help anyone

Must win, and i think we will, 1-3 for me.

If we beat them twice and beat Inter by more than 2-1, then assuming Barca beat Inter twice, we'll be through on 9 points won't we?
