Heading up on Saturday, but want a place that is showing the Liverpool vs United game first which is close by to the stadium?

The torch.

Is there a sensible way to get to the Torch without going back down Wembley Way?

My main issue with games has been trying to have a pint after the game whilst the crowd dies down, but just getting out of the stadium itself is a bit of a nightmare and I often end up in a shit-hole like Watkin's Folly as it's near the easiest way to get out of the stadium.

Quick question, they recon its going to be packed tomorrow. What time would people suggest actually heading to the stadium to have enough time to grab a beer inside? 2?

No idea mate. I've never gone for a drink after the game.

What are the prices like at the Torch? Made a BIG mistake and went into the Wembley Tavern for the Monaco game. I wasn't sure whether they were telling me the price of a pint of Fosters or asking for a ransom payment.

Pretty much everywhere anywhere near the stadium is £5 a pint or worse on matchdays. If you want anything cheaper you'll need to drink somewhere else (Baker Street is popular) and tube it in from there.

2.99 in JJ Moons.

Depends what you go for. £5 is mad but it's not like it's my local so I don't mind spending it if it means it's a decent day out. Sitting in a quiet pub on match day just seems odd to me.

The one next to JJ Moons, The Liquor Station, is a Spurs pub too. Pricier, but there's sofas and plenty of big screens.

The Torch had about 4 staff one wearing a Watford shirt moaning that he couldn't watch their game.
What other business would turn away punters willing to pay £5 for nearly a pint in plastic glasses?

4 cans of Stella and a couple of sarnies from Sainsburys and a sing song by the picnic tables there. 8 quid.

I gave up on the green man a while ago. Nice pub but a trek and no atmosphere.

Not sure if this has been stated elsewhere but after climbing the hill to the Green Man yesterday I was asked who I supported. Obviously I advised I was a proud supporter of the mighty Spurs only to be told it was an away supporters pub, was full of pre-Movember bindippers and to find myself another pub. Apparently this is now the designated pub for all away supporters. We were turned away from JJ Moons as they were not letting in anymore punters till 4.30.

As the pre-match entertainment at Wembley is the worst of any ground we were looking for a pub with a decent ale and a tv to watch some footy or even an egg chasing game. Better than looking at a screen of all the morons who tweet their mug shots and some banal message.
