Seriously? Not one decent one in that area?

Harlow isn't a place to even think of visiting:ROFLMAO: as a taxi driver if someone asks me to take them to Harlow, I don't move until I've some money upfront:cautious:

a town full of single mums and most of them aren't even 16 yet:ROFLMAO:

Where’s abouts is the event your going to and will be able to advise from there.

I personally would go the link. It’s a sports club cheap beer and doesn’t have any trouble. If anyone asks just say Gilly who is a friend of KB said would be ok to go down to

Lots of Chinese living there....apparently years ago when the Chinese immigrants first came over on the ships they'd get into a taxi and the driver would say "Where to mate ?' and they'd say "Harlow"

I always say never drink in pubs with a flat roof.

That's about 75% of hostelries ruled out straight away.

The Stow is dog rough with rough dogs. I was working up the road from there about this time in 2016
and a Polish guy was killed Racist attack.

@riggi, sawbridgeworth is less than a 10 minute drive from the Stow and the pubs there are all decent. It’s all Spurs round this way so you’ll be fine. The Queens head is decent.

The Stow is as rough as a badgers arse though.

Initially it was reported as a racist attack as it had a good mate of mine looking to go home. Turned out it wasn’t a racially motivated in the end.

I totally agree with the rest of that post though. Harlow is pretty much the real life version of Shameless.

Apologies for the misinformation, at the time I was working in the area it was the last decorating job I did in England before I moved here to Ireland. That was the last I heard of the incident until it resurfaced here.

A terrible indictment of society today, not just there but throughout the land.

Not at all mate - that was how it was reported in the media initially which caused a lot of distress, particularly in the Polish community.

I just found another Guardian article which was written after the guy who landed the punch was sentenced to 3 years in a young offenders institute. It confirms that the Judge had to emphasis that the incident was not a hate crime (contrary to media reports) I can’t post it though as I’m not as clever as you are when it comes to posting links from my phone!
