Here's a better view of the Townsend one. Worth bringing attention to it, as we rarely see them under the crossbar :p

Could they have put a worse compilation of the goals together?!

Townsend or Messi for me although the last one in the awful compilation looked very good from the one angle that they showed.

Having the token women’s goals in there in my opinion is very patronising as none of them would probably have won goal of the week in this weekends premier league let alone the goal of the year. Women’s football has come on leaps and bounds over the past few years but not every award needs undeserving pats on the head to the women’s game.

Has to be Andros... even if it's just so Guardiola has an existential brain melt when he has to watch that clearance again.

Sensational strike though.

Edit: That Messi finish tho...

They don't have shoehorn some shit into these "awards."

That Cameroon goal in the women's World Cup was pretty good. Top 10 in the world in the space of 12 months? Sure . I've seen better goals in the women's game over the last year but they weren't scored in FIFA competitions, thus not included.

Of course, there's the obligatory inclusion of some big name players - we mustn't upset the apple cart.

Let's not forget, they ommitted Lamela's rabona. Some people argued it was due to the "shit" opposition, yet no explanation is given for goals scored in preseason matches making the cut.

Townsend is the only winner for me. Messi’s was a moment of genius, but the technique of that volley was perfect. Can’t believe McGinn didn’t win it last year

It would help if they didn't keep cutting to different cameras every 3 seconds so you could actually see the goals ffs. You can barely even tell what's happening in that compilation.
