Apparently all of you who oppose a Qatar World Cup are racist.
Shows Blatter is up to his neck in the corruption and is acting like a rat wioth his back against the wall.

If he was clean he could have took the high ground, cleaned the organisation out and garanteed a 5th term and his legacy. But he's not.

Blatter is like a cornered tourettes sufferer, he was probably feeling the heat in front of reporters and just blurted out "Racism!". It was just as likely to be because of "Pineapple" or "Arse-biscuits". Would've made just as much sense as well.

And now the CAf has come out and said that suggestions of corruption among African football officials is just British newspapers being racist and they want heads to roll in the press.

Nothing will happen IMO, Blatter gets away with it every time.

"It really makes me sad," he added.

I'm sure the 4,000 families that will lose a brother/father/son will take great solace in that, Sepp.

With those comments Blatter has just made himself look like (even more of) a complete fool who is completely corrupt and/or out of touch with everything else that's going on. Surely? How anyone can take his latest remarks seriously is beyond me...but sadly I feel that FIFA will find Qatar to be completely innocent and the WC will still go ahead there anyway. Ridiculous.

I read today that the FBI are investigating the Qatar bribes allegations as the US dollar was the preferred method of payment. With the US standing a chance of holding the WC in place of Qatar there is hope yet.

Different this time though as the Sponsors are kicking up a fuss and without them there is no WC.

What could be great is seeing Blatter try to publicly justify why he has suggested that the likes of Budweiser, Visa, Adidas and McDonald's racist.

Christ... If the Fbi know as little about soccer as most of the US, this could be a lengthy process.

I'd love the whole corrupt edifice to come crumbling down, but Blatter is the Arsenal of world football - a jammy **** who seemingly gets away with massive manipulation and corruption even though everyone knows he's doing it.

I agree, especially as Blatter knows he can get away with murder as football is so widely watched he can always guarantee and audience, even if he was to take a dump in his hand and slap the pope. The one thing he and FIFA have always avoided though is getting so bogged down by public out-roar that the Sponsors feel the need to call for any sort of investigation to ensure they do not get damaged by FIFA's toxic image. Hopefully now they are demanding action, some will have to be taken.

Are they really? or are the sponsors just saying they're concerned as a good PR exercise. Certainly the later for me.

This is part of the BBC article (http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27762435)

Fifa will rule on the validity of the bidding for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups in September or October.
At that point, the 78-year-old president of football's world governing body said the "matter will be closed".

So "The matter will be closed" after the investigation. He hasn't said that they will decide what to do if there is evidence of corruption. "The matter will be closed".

I wonder what the outcome will be?

The outcome will probably a huge sum will end up in the Lawyers account and the finding will be no corruption on the part of FIFA, unless someone is going to run against Blatter, then that person will be the only one guilty.
