Not sure where else to put this, but we've now got more points from 9 games than we've ever had before in the Premier League.

Curse of Wembley etc.

People are desperate to give the title to City already.

Under Poch we typically hit our stride around December, and we're in the middle of a significant run of injuries. We're gonna get better.

For the second successive season City have come out of the traps flying, will they be able to keep it up this season? After six games last year they were just as impressive as this and yet...

There's an awfully long way to go.

We need someone to ‘find out’ how to play against this City team, as currently they’re sweeping the fodder away without breaking sweat, while also turning over the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea in style.

A bad result or two for them could change everything, but currently I can see them running away with the league.

They look fearsome right now, no doubt. But they also scraped a win at Bournemouth in the last minute, were relatively lacklustre against an awful Everton team, and have played all of the bottom four so far.

I'm sure someone had compiled a list of relative fixture difficulty a week or two back, and United and City were well out in front with having had the easiest starts.

I'm not saying they don't look very good, but I don't get the desire the hand them the title already.

De Bruyne is their heartbeat, similar with Eriksen for us.

An injury to KDB would certainly reduce their potency, despite the fact they have a plethora of attacking options, he's different gravy.

So, point being, things can change quickly and although they look scary good at the moment things can change, long way to go.
It’s a while since this post but just catching up. De Bruyne started like this last season, then completely went off the boil from November onwards. It’s very important for City he keeps this up all season. If he loses form again they’re well within our reach.

We need to dominate them physically. Could really do with Dembele and Wanyama available for them imo, although we do have others capable of doing that just not as well.

He was injured for about 4 months vs losing form

Anyone else notice the media this week AFTER the RM game seem to have now decided we do have a good squad after all and not just a starting 11.
Hypocrites.
Change their opinion with whatever way the winds blowing.
And that shite about Kane going in Summer. Utterly fkin laughable.

I think it is genuine though, we have rammed their words down their throat and they can't odds it anymore they really do respect us now.
Don't get angry just smile and enjoy.

Not sure what point you're making mate. They were saying on motd and on TS repeatedly recently that we've a strong 11 but a weak bench. Way after the window shut.
This week they have noticed we've changed the first 11, have 3 or 4 arguable starting 11 missing and they're now spouting complete opposite.

Not angry lol. Just think they look ridiculous and was pointing it out. I don't think they respect us either. Vast majority of media pundits and reporters live in the past and its sky 4 forever flag waving. They respect Man City because of the financial clout but we're just a fkin annoyance that won't go away. Thats why they try and cause disruption every time we get a mention. They literally cant wait to break this squad up.
We're taking a place at the selected table and weren't invited.
We've got Liverpool and Arsenal standing around behind us waiting for us to get up for a piss so they can nick their seat back lol. They can piss off. We'll wee in Man U's cup and shit in Chelseas drink before we leave the table. Its taken far too long to get to this party and we're not leaving even if the old bill turn up :)

You think we will bear lpool at home who we’ve not beaten for a while and have been outplayed by on numerous occasions recently and then beat man.u away, who’ve not lost at home in like 25 games, I hope we do but really can’t see it mate.
1 down lol hoping I end up looking stupid here

I'm no Tim Sherwood but I would think you concede position like we did yesterday. Have dier deep cutting lanes and have winks ghosting de bruyne. Hit on the counter.

Or we try to do what we did at home last season is press the fuck out of them for 90 minutes. But I'd want wanyama and lamela at peak for that

When we are bang at it we can genuinely beat anyone. I think we will give City a game and we'll do better than we did there last season.

What do you mean, compared to any given stretch of 9 matches ever, or the 9 first matches of every past season?

I really hope we turn up at Old Trafford after the last couple of poor performances there.

Not going to be helped by Jon Moss being the ref though. He won't give us anything there.
