8 points behind this City side is too much even in October I'm afraid.

At the start of the season, had I been offered 2nd or 3rd with us playing at Wembley I would have taken it.

I'm just sick that season after season, no matter how well we're doing, we rock up at OT or some other SKY5 stadium and prove all those sneering doubters right!! Fergie was right back then and he's still right! Typical Spurs.

We are always consistent that we are in letting ourselves down when it matters.

2nd or 3rd place playing at Wembley would be fantastic. We must go hard for the fa cup this season, full strength sides and a clear message to the players that this is a huge priority.
Champs league footie and fa cup would be a wonderful platform going into the new stadium.

Spot on.

We need to be in the Champions League for the long term growth of the club. But I am not fussed about a title challenge. 38 away games is too difficult to keep up the pace as we're seeing.

But the cups are easier to win. This is what sometimes irk me about Poch. I respect him for aiming higher and it's unbelievable he's got us in the conversation. But in May we could end up with nothing. The League Cup only needed six wins. The FA Cup also. This team need to start winning trophies not just hearts.

Still think we can win it. If we don't believe we can we will not finish in the top four. For all the talk of not having a winning mentality, the willingness of Spurs fans to roll over and die as evidenced on this board is a contributing factor. There is a lot of football yet to be played.

Top 4 ( which I think we'll get) and FA cup and this season will be a great success.

Just go all out for the FA cup.

Go all out for the FA cup please, this team is crying out for some silverware to create a ruthless winning mentality.

No reason why can't win the CL either. Obviously not easy, but anything can happen in a best of two type of competition (assuming we make it out of the group).

Worse sides than us have won it

So much bed wetting in here after one tight loss. City haven’t really been tested yet, they’ve had pretty much everything their own way so far. The only half decent team they’ve played is Liverpool, who had their best player sent off.

Yes they are on a roll, but is everyone forgetting how they were on a roll last season too.

As someone above said, there’s a lot of football still to be played. I’m not willing to concede anything with only ten games gone.

This season doesn’t have the same feel purely because we are playing at Wembley, I’m already looking forward to next season. This season we hopefully will get out of a tough CL group and mabye make the quarters until we get knocked out by a top side, we are out of the CC, we won’t win the FA Cup, just can’t see it and we will have to fight hard to get top4 but hopefully should get 3/4th but that’s certainly no given!

Just really hope we can keep our team together and that the new stadium is on time, add to that one or 2 top top players in attacking sense and there will be such a good feeling around the club that is when we could give the title a real go this year just enjoy the individual games for what they are worth.

This is what fucked me off so so much about the CC exit, this team just needs to get a trophy to give belief they can get over the line. No conisidence Mouriniho takes it very seriously as he knows it’s very winnable at a big top4 club and it sets a great platform, I bet if they hadn’t won it they won’t have gone on to win the Europa.

Fuckkkk COYS

I still think we are comfortably the second best squad in the league, but belief and effort are a huge component of what makes our squad great. If in the coming months, the players end up sharing the feelings of some here that City will be too difficult to catch, their performance levels will drop precipitously, and we'll risk dropping out of the top 4 this season. Are the players highly motivated at the thought of finishing in the top 4 and getting Champions League football next season when they've finished 3rd and 2nd the last two seasons? That's their baseline for performance. They don't care what it was like for Spurs when Irving Scholar was Chairman or when George Graham was manager. Their perspectives are totally different to those of supporters.

We need to win our next 6 league matches, which includes beating Arsenal, Watford, and Leicester away. Draws away to middle or bottom of the table teams isn't going to cut it if we want to win the title.

Very optimistic about next season providing we get in the CL. Just got to make sure we keep Kane.
