I saw a statistic that City have tied the best start of any club in Premier League history with their 28 points out of 30 start. Coupled with their ludicrous +29 goal differential, and the countless chances they actually waste each match (there were at least 5 clear cut chances against West Brom they failed to finish today), and you really can't help but acknowledge that they are a vastly improved outfit to last season. They've been at the races since pre-season when they blitzed us, and the fact that arguably one of the greatest players of the Premier League era, Sergio Aguero (still in his prime scoring at will), doesn't even start for them now, shows their strength in depth.
If we want to win the title, we're going to have to do it by earning a club record points haul of 90+ with a record like 29 wins, 5 draws, 4 losses. It's a big ask, but even next year away from Wembley, it's going to be the same. City, United and Chelsea are going nowhere, and they still have limitless funds. But right now, this is the best squad we have ever had and with only two competitions until January (with CL qualification not far away), we need a strong run of form soon.
