That's why I'm glad it's the NLD. We'll be up for it.

I'd be much more worried if it was Leicester at home or someone.
Yep and we owe a big performance after not showing up at their gaff earlier in the season, still annoys me that performance we were terrible.

We aren't legends. There is no evidence of that. We sometimes fail to win against big teams. That is because they are quite good too!
This is the most determined and most together Tottenham team i have ever seen. Sometimes i am disappointed in a result, of course, but never in the the effort and determination. If a game is going wrong, we redouble our efforts to turn it around. Doesn't guarantee success- but it does guarantee a team to be proud of.

I think this weekends game is massive but my biggest fear is Arsenal know how to get a result at Wembley - they love it there...unbeaten in their last 9 since losing to Birmingham in the League Cup final in 2011:

April 12, 2014: Wigan 1-1 Arsenal (Arsenal won 4-2 on penalties); FA Cup semifinal

May 17, 2014: Arsenal 3-2 Hull; FA Cup final

Aug. 10, 2014: Arsenal 3-0 Manchester City; Community Shield

April 18, 2015: Reading 1-2 Arsenal; FA Cup semifinal

May 30, 2015: Arsenal 4-0 Aston Villa; FA Cup final

Aug. 2, 2015: Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea; Community Shield

April 23, 2017: Arsenal 2-1 Manchester City; FA Cup semifinal

May 27, 2017: Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea 1; FA Cup final

Aug. 6, 2017: Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea (Arsenal won 4-1 on penalties); Community Shield

Obviously they've played some dross in the above run & you could also say they are perhaps due a loss but they definitely step up their game at Wembley. Having said that, if we play as we did against United & the second half vs Pool I think we can bully them - I just don't think it will be as straight forward as some may think...

How many teams in league can pressure us like Liverpool did in first half ? Probably only City. Liverpool put so much effort in first half, they didnt have anything in their tank after 60minutes. We can't generalise things based on that half.

What I would say is, most saw this coming. Its nothing new. Its the way, Liverpool have played us for last 4 or 5 seasons at Anfield. We got to be more pragmatic & play it long in these games.

Yeah, but why is Hugo constantly trying the same clipped pass out to the fullbacks? He’s inviting pressure. Davies and Trippier were both having to control a ball that was either over head height, or a foot wide of either of their shoulders.. It was just so dumb. Hugo needs to go long when it’s knocked back to him, unless the CB’s are completely free with time to turn. We put pressure on ourselves and gave Liverpool the incentive. I know what I’d think if I was CM for Liverpool, I’d be rubbing my hands making Spurs play it back to the keeper then going tight on our FB’s. It’s simple for them, and unnecessary from us.

United had a fairly decent record at Wembley and players who loved to score/win there.

Our Wembley curse thing is gone. Nothing to fear if we play how we know we can.

I'd rather focus on our home record this season being 8-4-1 (8-2-0 last ten) and their away record being 3-4-6 with only one win in the last six.

Their Wembley stats for cup games aren't that important IMO. Didn't United have a similar run at Wembley before we beat them?

Last 11 games we have :
Played 11;Won 7;Draw 3;Lost 1
Points 24 (points per game - Healthy 2.18)
Scored 28;Conceded 11 ;Clean sheet 5

Points in Same period for other top4 contenders
Liverpool - 22
United -21
Chelsea - 18
Arse - 17

Once Arse game is out of the way, we have every chance of cementing CL qualification by end of season. Comeback of Toby & Wanyama and Lucas new signing will only improve our chances even more.

Fair enough, and I don't disagree was just pointing out that the Scum seem to know how to get a result at the new Wembley and we should be wary. Although as you say, their cup exploits probably have no bearing on how they'll do there in the league...

For what it's worth I think we'll win.

This will be an away game for them, not a neutral venue like those other games

Well to be fair it's not like the amount of Scum fans in the ground will have much influence on the team...this is Arsenal after all :D.

Although you would hope 80k+ Spurs fans would play a part...

Who cares about their record at Wembley, if everyone is at their best we'll beat them.

Midfield battle will be key. Hopefully Dembele and Wanyama smother them, and boss that little skinhead all over the park.

We can really make a statement for securing top 4, and also provide momentum going into the Juve games.

If we just concentrate on our own performances each and every league game from now on IMHO we will be in the CL next season.
Just have to play at our best for those 12 games and ignore the other teams games. We can't do anything about their results, we can only concentrate on our own..
We cannot afford to drop our intensity against any opposition team and that starts tomorrow night v Newport.
The team hasn't been pressing with the intensity, of previous seasons, nearly as much this season. I think this is Poch's way of making sure we're fit enough for the run in.

Whilst you are right about our form, it's the NLD and form (in terms of our results) counts for little. What matters is momentum, and we have shown in our last two games that we do have it. However, aside from the slip up against Swansea, so do they. I just hope we start hard and fast and stop with the tippy-tappy at the back. As we saw on Sunday, doing that only needs one slip and we concede a goal, I would much rather play our game further up the pitch.

Just don't want Aubamayang to be given any space or chances. He has frightening pace and Wembley is a biiiiiiggg pitch.

Form barely counting in the derby is a complete fallacy. When we were shit, we lost most games. As we started to reach parity with them, the derby record showed improvement. And recently, in the last three years, it's been in our favour apart from in the reverse fixture this season. We'd gone six league games unbeaten against them before that match.

The better side in the better form will usually win, derby or not.
