If we win I think the momentum of this last week will carry us into finishing in top 4 relatively comfortably.
Hedging bets a draw isn't end of the world tomorrow, Chelsea will win but they'd only be 3pts ahead. With Utd and City away after there's a very good chance we'll move ahead of them next few weeks even if didn't win tomorrow.
However we should be aiming to win obviously, we're better than them just as we are better than Utd and Liverpool. Let's show it.

3 points tomorrow may go a fair way to us getting top 4 but we just need to keep going one game at a time.
As long as we concentrate and turn up for our games I feel reasonably confident we'll be in CL next season.

So you’re proud of not winning away for 27 years against our bitter rivals are you?
In my view, you cant change the past.

It is the future you should look to.

Unfortunately a lot of spurs fans (not necessarily you) are caught in the past.

Chelsea are a joke of a club that got lucky with dodgy russian money.

We are a club with a real history.

Just my view but we all support (hopefully) the same club.

If we win tomorrow there's a very good chance we won't need to win at Chelsea. Because:
(A) They have some really difficult games coming up. And..
(B) Every game looks difficult to them right now.

I agree Chelsea are a joke of a club, before Harding and oil money came along, they were no where. As you say we are a club with a real history, that's one of the reasons why I find this record very aggrevating. We are definitely capable of beating them, hopefully we can do it this time around and then do them in the CL as well.

All good mate.

I do agree with your points.

I just got the impression you were looking to have a crack at our great club.

Tomorrow is crucial for cutting Arsenal adrift. For a few games, at least.

The United win and Liverpool draw have really set us up to capitalize on the run in. If Arsenal lose to us and City, they could be behind by double figures. Liverpool have a run of incredibly soft home games in their last 12, so unless those teams over perform because of the relegation threat, you can't see Liverpool's form collapsing that much. Chelsea could go either way (collapse or re-group), but they have 4 rival matches and Burnley away, so they've got some work to do either way.

It's so important to strike now and not hope to overtake later. Our away games look as tough as anyone's.

What's with the numbers?

It's a Premier League fantasy footy difficulty index (2=relatively easy, 5=the most difficult)

I suppose it might not be ok to post that here. Someone or I can take it down if this is some sort of copyright issue.

I think it's rather foolish to write off Arsenal or Chelsea. Arsenal have only missed out on the CL once in 17 years and the time that Chelsea missed out they ended up winning the thing. Both are capable of going on long unbeaten runs and winning trophies at the same time.

Yeah but that's been largely in a period where they have been truly superior to us.

Not anymore.

I can understand why so many would pick us to make top four, we're currently a stronger side. We havn't even had the true advantage of playing at home all season.

And if we lose tomorrow will you still be saying the same?

I think it's a little too early to say we're superior. They are last seasons champions and they're one point ahead at the moment.

If we don't finish above them come the end of the season, they will be seen as superior. I would be happier if we were seen as the underdogs, less pressure on the manager and the players.

I don't think they are writing Arsenal and Chelsea off. They are sports journos, asked as part of an article who they think will finish in the top four. Not who they know will finish in the top four, but they think will. They can hardly say "I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I may incriminate myself of believing Cheslea and Arsenal are spent and can be written off." Can they? Or say: "Well, I think United, Liverpool and Spurs will take the remaining top four spots...but as seen as we can't write Arsenal and Chelsea off I am going to pretend that I believe United, Arsenal and Chelsea will...that way that Mullers fella on SC won't get on my case."

If you look at it rationally right at this moment, Chelsea are in disarray and have just lost to two minor clubs, one at home, scoring one and conceding seven. The manager is at odds with the board over transfer policy and there are rumours he has lost, or semi-lost, the dressing room. ArseAnal are four points adrift of the team in fifth, going into a difficult away game, when their away form has not been great - against that team in fifth. I won't analyse Liverpool and United, because it doesn't concern us - but we are in a good run of form, with several key players getting back from injury, with good reason to expect a strong finish in terms of fitness. You can't write them off - but it is not entirely illogical, either, to believe we are in a stronger position going into the run-in. If you look at the table @jolsnogross has kindly posted for us, Cheslea have still to play the other four four of the top five - two of them away. They also have to travel away to Burnley and Swansea - they are fixing to be two very difficult games, too. It is true that our record at SB is pitiful - so was our record away to the Goons (not sure where, probably lots of different places...the beggar keep on moving!) and at OT.

There is always scope for the unforeseen - for things to go tats oop, in other words. Going into the game at the Emirates I wouldn't have foreseen that Kane was visibly injured enough to be off his game or that the Goons would outperform us in terms of desire and energy. They were the better team, so I am not griping, but neither did we foresee that Mike Dean would be so desperate to show that he isn't biased in our favour by giving them everything and us nothing, including the ridiculous free-kick leading to the first goal, allow two offside goals and be lenient with two Scum players who were on yellows and committed clear yellow card offences. That's football. No-one can foresee that player x, y or z will have a rush of blood to the head and toe-punt an opposition player from behind, in the penalty spot (Vergil, I'm looking at you), or that a stalemate between two dour teams will be broken by the ball ricocheting off of eight players and trickling over the line. But we are in a better position than Arsenal and Chelsea at this precise moment and there is nothing outlandish in choosing us if put on the spot and made to chose who you think will finishing in the top four.

Thanks for providing the table.

Is there any reason United aren't on it? I don't think their top four spot is assured yet.

Morata is a massive loss for Chelsea. It’s hard to see them achieving much with Giroud as only fit striker. Fine off bench for 30 mins. But leading the line game after game no chance.

Tomorrow is important because it's the NLD. It might give Arsenal some "momentum" if they pull out a win, but that defense and midfield is so shit it'll catch up to them eventually. I'm more focused on how Chelsea appears to be pulling a 2015/16 and United seem so boring they may just fall asleep themselves. I personally think it'll end up City, Liverpool, Us and Chelsea/United for 4th. Arsenal battling it out for 5th/6th. I'll be more concerned about them next year if they can revamp their midfield and defense.
