We really need Man U to beat Liverpool next Saturday. Especially with us playing away at Bournemouth, who we only just drew with last season. That’s going to be a tricky fixture for us.

Only 3 if one of them is Yanited.

This. The maximum points that United could get would be 89, if they win every game, including the one against City. If city win their next 2 games they will be on 84 going into the United game. If City win that they go to 87 points and the max for United would then be 86. Ergo City could win the title at home to United!

If Utd draw their next two, Away Palace, home Liverpool, then we would all (us, Utd, Pool) be on 61 points if we beat Bournemouth.

However, Liverpool are 18 points behind with 9 games to go.

City need 10 points to secure the title on points ahead of Liverpool - based on current standings.

Well yeah but that means that Liverpool need to make up the 28 goal difference for 9 points not to be enough.

So city needs 4 wins for the title. Either they beat us for the title or we give them the walk of honour

Not sure what I would want

They’re not a traditional rival and they’ll probably break all the records set in the PL era this season, so there are worse teams to have to give that walk of honour to.

I think it’s pretty obvious that it will turn out that Man City will need to beat us to win the league asap. It’s just how it is for us, there’s no way we will be lucky enough for them to win it the weekend before. It just doesn’t work like that for us.

I think it will be between us and Pool for 2nd place. They have games away to United, Everton and Chelski, it could easily come down to the last game, which is Chelsea away for them, and home to Leicester for us.

Why do we have to do a walk of honour at all. Is it a new thing or something? I’ve never heard of it up until the last few years.

Chelsea will down tools if it means letting Liverpool get 2nd instead of us.

The race for top 4 is over however much the media try and dress it up as some kind of exciting finish to the season. Arsenal are finished and Chelsea are 5 points behind us and we still have to play them. They need us to lose 2 games in the last 9 whilst they win both. Their form in 2018 is poor, the manager is not happy and the players aren't interested. They may step it up against us but we can even afford to lose that.

Chelsea have won just 2 games 2018:

Drew against Arsenal
Drew against Leicester
Beat Brighton
Lost against Bournemouth
Lost against Watford
Beat West Brom
Lost against Utd
Lost against City

That's not a team getting into the top 4.

I think we'll finish 3rd above Utd.

Before glancing at your username I could have sworn you were new to supporting Spurs.

So City can win the title at Wembley against us? Damn I was hoping they’d have it done by then.

If we at full strength i dont fear that lot. I honestly don't. We can batter them just like the Dippers did. So i say we go for the 3 points. We will postpone their celebrations. Also that winning the title in the next game thing might affect them too. The pressure of it all.

Which they will be trying to do a great deal harder than trying to do it the following game against us. Pep would love to do the fk you dance with the PL Trophy right in front of Maureens face. I'd love him to do it as well.
