I think it’s pretty obvious that it will turn out that Man City will need to beat us to win the league asap. It’s just how it is for us, there’s no way we will be lucky enough for them to win it the weekend before. It just doesn’t work like that for us.
They'll have to wait another week then won't they.

We really need Man U to beat Liverpool next Saturday. Especially with us playing away at Bournemouth, who we only just drew with last season. That’s going to be a tricky fixture for us.
Due to fixtures awaiting dates, Brighton v Man City, it may be City win it against us IF they draw against Utd. However thats also IF Utd beat Liverpool. We dont want that. Surely a draw is better, they both drop 2 pts, and City win it against Man U at their home ground?

I want to finish above Liverpool though more than Man U.

I think this is a massive game for United tonight, if they don't get the win they are no longer looking over their shoulder because we are right next to them and running faster as we reach the home straight.

One of the reasons I fancy Liverpool in the top four is because someone can get injured at any stage of the season,” Shearer said, as quoted by the official Premier League Twitter account. “If Mane, Salah or Firmino get injured, they’ve still got the others to do.

Like who?? Ings? Solanke?

Genuinley wonder if pundits say this sort of shit to make headlines

Chelsea with both us and Liverpool at home left, as well as away games vs. Burnley, Newcastle, Soton and Swansea.

Would say that their only "easy" remaining fixtures are West Ham and Huddersfield at home. Palace at home is also a game you'd fancy them getting over the line.

I see enough points dropped that even us losing at the Bridge wouldn't be an absolute disaster.

No better than 91 really.

Only if you place no value on league position whatsoever, unless you finish top. Which would be absolutely crazy.

By that logic, every campaign under Poch is no better or worse than every godawful 90s / early 00s season.

He said if one of those three gets injured, one of the other two will step up.

He contrasted that with if Kane gets injured they only have Llorente.

We wouldn't play Llorente, we'd have Son upfront with Lucas, Dele, Eriksen, Lamela etc supporting.

Though to be fair I still think Liverpool would likely cope better than us if they were without Salah.

I think it will be between us and Pool for 2nd place. They have games away to United, Everton and Chelski, it could easily come down to the last game, which is Chelsea away for them, and home to Leicester for us.

@inclineyid why the doh! rating on this, not that I care about ratings, I'd just like to hear your reason for it!

I think I'd like United to beat Liverpool as Liverpool have an easier run in, United will drop points anyway.
Boy we really are getting down to the time of the squeaky bum aren't we.

Not sure I can see Palace getting anything tonight, they just really lack firepower at the moment. Maybe a draw, but I'll be shocked if they win. You'd think United will score at least 1 and I'm not sure I could see this Palace side scoring 2 against United. Even with all their other players back minus Zaha I still couldn't build the best of cases for them. This is football though I guess!

I think Chelsea will still be looking at those games as ones they should be winning, but all those teams will be fighting hard at least and the way Chelsea are currently I guess you re right, they could drop points. Still, I'm pretty sure I'd rather our away games of Stoke, Brighton and WBA over theirs. Thing with Chelsea is that they're quite erratic at the moment, so it's hard to gauge what games will actually be tough for them and what won't. In saying that, we couldn't have hoped for Chelsea to be in much less form going into these games really.
