Screw that. I want 2nd!

think we will need to beat Man C to have any chance of getting 2nd. yes Man U might drop points in other games, and so might we.

at the moment it definitely looking like we will be giving the guard of honour next Saturday evening with a grinning Walker walking past all his old team mates, hopefully they will be on the beach for 1 game, to help us finish above their 2 nearest neighbours

The good news these days is that Walker knows if he grins too much, the likes of Lamela, Vertonghen and Dele will be make sure he's grimacing instead soon enough.

If Man City win the league today and it looks like they will then that greatly increases our chances of beating them

Personally I still think we'll finish 2nd

We have taken 36/42 points since losing to City, that is mightily impressive. I said at beginning of season that I would be delighted with top 4 when taking Wembley and other teams spending into consideration. The fact that we are seemingly going to achieve this comfortably and with an FA Cup Semi to look forward to means that this has been a great season.

I do too if we beat City, but it's the IF word. depends if they want to go for records, depends on what happens on Tuesday, they might hopefully be totally knackered after trying to put 200% in turning the result round. if they do turn it around Pepe might rotate and rest a few for the next round, but if by halftime they aren't in with a slim hope, they might just settle for breaking as many records possible.

I know if I was Poch, and we were in City's position I would want us to win every single game to set records and have that mentality going into the following season. just hope Pepe thinks differently resting in players that have a hectic summer ahead with the World Cup

Our form since Christmas for the last few seasons, including this one, has been sensational. Get the start right next term and I really fancy us to win the title

City have thrown away a 2-0 lead. Trailing 2-3! Looks like title won't be in the bag when they play us next week :inpain:

I shouldn't be deflated, we're on course to get Champions League football, finish with another great points total, we have some of Europe's best footballers, but that City-Utd result has pissed me off.

All things as is we should be top 4 poss 3. Next year will be probably the toughest top 4 to achieve for sometime imo. City are there and potentially add one or two, Utd and pool will strengthen again with pretty major names linked to each. Can we continue to punch above our weight when we cannot match wages?. Be an interesting season in 18/19.

Didn’t see that result coming!

Top 4 teams look pretty secure.

Spurs vs Liverpool for 3rd the battle still open I think.

Utd when they wake up looking they could be a dangerous Cup opponent.

That’s the big game - rest of season for me.

Can't say I really care about the United v City result, other than the reason that I just don't like United. I think whether City were champions or not come next Saturday we'd really have to raise our game to get the 3 points anyway and if we play to our peak there's no reason why we can't be City at home regardless of their situation.

Exactly even if City win at Wembley they can ONLY win the title there if Man U LOSE at home to West brom which, let's be honest , not gonna happen.

We are still only 4 points behind Utd and though they have a good run-in, if you had watched the premiership over the last 5 years you'd say there is still everything to play for.

In terms of next week's game. This is not the result we wanted but let's see what happens on Tues. There will be some very tired players turning up on the big pitch at Wembley. We will face them either on by far their worst run of the season or after an unbelievable comeback that would probably involve extra time etc.

We couldn't have asked for much more than that and it will be up to us to take advantage as much as possible
