I gave us little chance of getting top four at the start of the season as playing at Wembley but it looks like were going to do that which is a massive achievement.
If we can beat united and win fa cup that would be just fantastic.
Big IF though.
Yep, CL in our first season at the new stadium is massive imo.
I'd love to win the cup as well, but as you say that's a big if...I'm not massively confident personally.

Forget about 2nd, I'm still worried about 4th!

Don’t worry about that. Chelsea are doing their best not to qualify. Unfortunately, saints decided not to follow the script yesterday.

As for Arsenal, one more win for us (or one more loss for them) and their CL hopes go up in smoke. They’re not going to get past AM in the CL too.

Arsenal haven't got a single away point all year, I wouldn't be betting on them doing us any favours at OT.

Arsenal will seriously want to come above Burnley. They would never live it down if they don’t. Leaves Wenger with a bit of a dilemma as I think united is sandwiched in between the athletico games and Burnley game straight after. If Arsenal put all their eggs in Europa basket they could easily finish below Burnley. If they didn’t win EL as well I don’t see how Wenger could possibly survive that.

Practically, coming 7th also very likely means Europa League Qualifiers in July very soon after the World Cup ends.

Giroud went to Chelsea and must be thinking WTF?

Walker is laughing though. Was good to see him do absolutely fk all despite them winning 1.3

He won't care about Burnley. It will be shit or bust for the Europa, as it's the only way to save his job.

Exactly how far has this Arsenal team fallen

It is pretty amazing they’ve let it happen tbh. And this isn’t just a freak season like Chelsea was. You can see the squad gradually getting worse and worse. We could put out x2 xi of full internationals. They are having to put 4 or 5 kids in the squad. Even their best 3 of their 4 best players will be 29 next season. They need massive investment to get anywhere near top 4 let alone the title.

When you look at Stan Kroenke's sporting misadventures over in the states, it becomes rather clear how he's let it happen :D

I think this season's increase in decline is also in part due to the Arsenal being in the Europa rather than the Champion's League, long may it continue.

I just can't see it Trix. Not just winning the Europa, but Wenger leaving. If the board are happy that the club is making money, and that's their chief concern, why change a "winning" formula?

They are run as a franchise so making money is success pure and simple.

Because fans have started voting with their feet. Empty seats are poison for a board trying to make money, it means less tils ringing on matchdays, etc, etc.

There was a point in their match against Newcastle when Mustafi got absolutely dicked down the left side, very close to the 6-yard box. While the play was still going on, he just turned around and started walking back upfield, his body language making him look completely crestfallen - like he'd completely given up. It was a shocking bit of play from a German international.

the thing is if it's the season ticket holders voting with their feet, Kronke won't give a shit unless those voting don't renew in hope.

on the finish in 4th and winning the FA Cup I too would vote with both hands, just hope Poch can put a team out that can beat a desperate for points Brighton team. their last 5 fixtures on paper = 0pts and might make it very tight. however shit Utd were yesterday, or even when we played them in the league this year, they are a team that can nick a goal, and defend it if they have too.

The majority of them being season ticket holders so they've already paid for their seats...it's a reason why Arsenal record high attendance figures because they count how many tickets they sold before the match not what goes through the turnstiles.

It only becomes a problem when people don't renew but they have a long list of people on the list regardless so it won't affect them that much.
