We have missed out on top 4 in the past due to events being outside of our control.
Unfortunately we can only go on recent events. And we have not been playing well or getting results, and Chelski have! Liverpool have! So instead of fighting for third or even second we find ourselves battling for fourth!

Surely you don’t think Poch or the players think it’s job done, though?

Don't think poch does but a lot of these players are the same ones that lost 5-1 against newcastle letting arsenal finish above us. They might have their eye on the cup or be thinking about the world cup.

They need to be 100% focussed. But our fans should know better. It's the ones who start acting arrogant and saying mind the gap who bitch and moan the most if something goes wrong.

The job isn't done yet. To think it is, is a mistake we cannot make again.
It isn't done, you are right. But the way some people on here are crying and saying we will blow it is beyond ridiculous.

We are 5 points ahead with 4 games to play. The reason that we re 5 points ahead is because we have been and are better than Chelsea this season and to think that they are going to make 5, no 6 points on us in 4 games when we have our run in and they still have to play Liverpool...nah, I just don't see it. I'm looking at 3rd place not 5th

But we got top 4 that year. I know we finished below Arsenal but only us and Poch gave a fuck about that. It was job done that year, at the end of the day. Compare that to this scenario and, again, no one really cares that much if we’re 2nd or 4th. Securing CL is the most important.

Like you say, Poch doesn’t think it’s job done and he won’t let the players think that. There were lots of stories about how fucked off he was after that Newcastle game and like I said it’s not like we dropped down to 5th as a result of losing that game so can you imagine how much he’s drilling it into them.

I don’t think anyone on here thinks it’s done and dusted just pretty unlikely that we finish 5th. It’s a funny old game and anything can happen but I’m not really that worried.

i swear i'll turn into a serial killer named "SPURSY" if we cock up the top 4, lose to Chavs in the FA Cup Final, Bindippers win Champions League, Scumbags win Europa League.....

Alright so people ain’t allowed a couple of beers on a Thursday and post don’t judge me man. I know what you’re thinking
I’m not an alcoholic no way.
(Bet still stands)
I'm focusing on the semi-final this week, rather than the top 4.
Bur I'm hoping Kane will eventually find some form and that will be the end of any worries.

PS If anyone was sure enough that chelsea might still qualify that they'd put money down, then they'd get 16/1 elsewhere and potentially collect a nice little sum for their risk.
I'm no expert but if you've had no takers, then I think you need to make your offer more competitive.

181/1 on Skybet :D

now if you really fear the worst then on skybet you can actually get that bet at 413.38/1. instead of punting on Arse = Europa, Liverpool = CL, and Chelsea top 4, change the last 1 for teams to finish outside the top 4 and the odds on us is over double of what you get for Chelsea to finish in it:X3:

Actually a better bet I think is to back Spurs to finish outside top four ( which really the same thing people are worried about) and for that bet Sky will give you 33/1

Liverpool are definitely under more threat than us now. Still have to go to bridge and next league game against stoke battling for lives and that’s right in middle of Roma games.

I turned the game off at 2-0 in disgust saying West Brom deserve to go for lack of passion

Just seen the score and pissed my chair :ROFLMAO:

Good job I have rubber and chrome seats :ninja:

Yes, but Liverpool are unbeaten at home this season. Stoke have the worst away record in the pl. They only need 4 pts from here, so could still lose to Chelsea and make top 4. Will be interesting if Chelsea beat Swansea before we play Watford, but, in a way, would be nice to give them a sniff, before snatching it away again with a resounding win in response (or, even better, a disputed offside or penalty winner in added time). Much like the run in to last season in reverse.

I’d rather they lost and made it piss easy for us. But each to their own! ?

Suddenly our mid-week draw against Brighton doesn't look like a disaster at all. Now we can really go into today's games without any shadow of it hanging over the lads.

Lets get the 4th place now. 5 points clear of chelsea and only 2 points behind pool. This is doable.
