Watford (h)
West Brom (a)
Newcastle (h)
Leicester City (h)

We have 5 points and just have to assume Chelsea get all 12 of there remaining points. So we need 8. Can’t afford to not show up at any of the above. Seal it at Newcastle. We know how we react when our backs are against the wall

8 points feels tough to do at the moment

Yes, but Liverpool are unbeaten at home this season. Stoke have the worst away record in the pl. They only need 4 pts from here, so could still lose to Chelsea and make top 4. Will be interesting if Chelsea beat Swansea before we play Watford, but, in a way, would be nice to give them a sniff, before snatching it away again with a resounding win in response (or, even better, a disputed offside or penalty winner in added time). Much like the run in to last season in reverse.
The way we played today is consistent with how we have been playing laity and if we continue in this form I can see is not picking up the points we need. Really bad week for us, really good week for Chelski

If we were picking fixtures, these would be the ones.

No excuses. If we don't finish in the Top 4, Poch would probably resign.

Well we have no distractions now, that's one way of looking at it, have to put everything into these last few games.

The Watford game will be very telling. The Chelsea win was great of course, but it's been a short while since we've put in an all round good performance.

We could actually still get 3rd even if we only win 3 of our last four games and Chelsea beat Liverpool. But we'd need to better pool's GD which is currently 3 better than us.

We should get 3rd. The CL is a massive distraction for Liverpool the last 2 league games around CL fixtures they’ve drawn Everton and today. We really should win our last 4 and I think they will drop more points.

I must be looking at the wrong table then 'cause the one I'm looking at shows Liverpool with a GD of 8 better than us, and 3 more points, but we have a game in hand.

My mistake. You are correct about the 8 point inferior GD to Pool's but it still makes the possibility of us getting 3rd, even we only win 3 of our last 4 games, provided that Chelsea beats Liverpool and we overturn the GD against Liverpool.

To be fair United, have the know all with their manager and their players. Its all too familiar with us, hopefully we get into the Champions League next season, but i fear if we dont get 3rd we will lose out.

This would require Chelsea overtaking both us and Liverpool and the latter winning CL. The odds are miniscule.

Should be aiming for 3rd. After tonight I don’t really care at the moment.

Feels like the season is over. CL or EL, it’s european football. I’m not a snob and we stand a far better chance of success in the el ( providing all the good sides stay out of it )

There's a HUGE difference between CL and EL football. The tens of millions and prestige of playing in the CL ensures we're able to target a higher calibre of player. Additonally, Chelsea missing out could see Hazard leave and they'll have to overpay massively to attract top players.

We outperformed Liverpool, a CL semi finalist this year, in our ties against them this season. Wiped them out at home, and then came from behind twice late in the game away and also missed a penalty. We had the stones to weather that intimidating Anfield atmosphere, which great teams like City were unable to do. We should have won that game. We beat Real, came within a whisker against Juventus. Utd lost against Sevilla ffs!

Think we belong in the CL, and I'd rather see us competing against the best in the world. It's best for the club, players and fans.
