Newcastle in front of that crowd will be always be more dangerous than Watford at home.
Plus, although it was important to us fans to finish above Arsenal, in the players mind the job had been done. No excuses for that horror show mind you, but totally different game imo.

we make hard work of stoke. I think we will see how easily Liverpool dispatch them at the weekend and this might give us some insight to why they are above us and we are now back in a fight for fourth when we should have been out of site!

What like the indication that we beat them 6-3 on aggregate this season ? win our game in hand and we are level with them. Considering CL commitments and Chelsea away still think we will come 3rd.

I agree. Over the past week they, and the club, have been labelled mentally week in many quarters. Harry has been subject to excessive mockery individually too. Hopefully they, and Poch, are really hurting and hungry to come out all guns blazing. COYS.

Maybe so, but teams can be dangerous when there are no expectations. Just have a look at WBA who we have to play as well. They've put in some impressive performances since they lost all hope of staying up.

True, but we have to play each game as if it's the one that gets us over the line. Any complacency or lack of focus will cost us dear and add to the unwanted reputation of failing when it matters. Nail this game and set the tone to the end of the season is what I'm hoping for.

It'll certainly impact on the transfer budget and reduce the chance of Levy reviewing the wage structure so it would be an own goal by the players if you will excuse the pun.

Much as i hate to say it. We want Liverpool to finish in the top 4 because if they fall out and we finish forth and Arse win the Europa. We are fooked.

If Liverpool happen to finish out of the Top 4 which they won't, it's because we have finished 3rd and Chelsea have finished 4th.
We have nothing to worry about.

I think the chance of Chelsea finishing 3rd (which they would in the above scenario), ourselves 4th and Liverpool 5th is very slim. Not impossible but highly unlikely.

honestly believe if Liverpool where to fall out, Chelsea will be 4th. for Liverpool to fall out they would need to only pick up 3pts from Stoke (h), Chelscum (a) and BHA (h), and really don't see Stoke or BHA troubling them at Anfield, even if they rest the majority of their team to be able to go stronger away to Roma, and will also mean Chelsea winning their last 4. possible yes, doubtful most likely.
what is important is to win our next 2, then it allows us to only need a point at home to Newcastle to as good as guarantee 4th. if we only took 7 more points this season, Chelscum need to win all theirs and better their GD by 11.
the only way we fall out is if the players can't lift themselves after the semi's and we end up finishing 5th due to a total collapse.

Whats really starting to fk me off is the continued unfair ass raping we keep getting with fixtures at the end of the season. We're playing bloody catch up at the tail end every fkin season since we became top 4 just to put the pressure on a bit more.
I fully believe this is intentional.
Canhear the media bullshit now when Chelsea inevitably win at the weekend and we dont play until Monday night. 'Just 2 points off that 4th spot now' rather than seeing if we win our games in hand we are level with Liverpool.
