Liverpool winning the CL would be unbearable. Literally couldn’t banter them for 5 years ?
After witnessing Chelsea win the CL for the 1st time at our expense I think we can handle this, they've won it before so not as big a deal as say Scum winning it, only main irrititation I have about Scouse winning it is knowing there is very little between us yet they would be again holding aloft a major whilst we get nada mainly due to a kind draw and them getting some momentum at the right time.

This. It makes our decent season look pointless in comparison.

We are a better side than them too, that the annoying thing. In a big meaningful one off cup game though, well, we wouldn’t have dealt with their run of competition as well as they did. City would have knocked us out.

We don't generate that level of pace and intensity that Liverpool or city can muster up which is why as you say we wouldn't have beaten city regardless, as good a team as we are we are too predictable and lacking the speed of thought and physical movement to disturb some sides.

Even more likely they will come 5th now imo. Chelsea had a whole week to prepare, Liverpool heads will be all over the shop. And then Brighton game, whatever you say if Salah has a 50/50 he won’t be going in full steam neither will any of their players. Should be interesting.

Just read as things stand we don't qualify for the CL if Liverpool get knocked out the top 4 position and we finish 4th and they win the Cl and Arsenal win the Europa.

Does anyone else know if this is correct as I haven't seen it mentioned on this thread.

3rd is in our hands so why panic ?

I won't worry a jot unless we lose our nxt game which I hasten to add we shouldn't.

For that to happen Chelski would have to finish 3rd which is highly unlikely

Can't see arsenal winning the EL anyway. But fuck it would be funny if Chelsea got screwed out of CL coming 4th. Karma.

For Liverpool to get knocked out of the top four position and for us to finish 4th, would mean either Arsenal or Burnley to finish 3rd and that is NOT going to happen.

The 3rd place position is totally in our hands as we do not have to rely on any results in the teams around us to achieve this. We just have to win our remaining games.

Not going to be easy against West Brom. We could send them down with a win or draw so they are going to be fighting for their lives.

If Chelsea finish third and we finish 4th with pool 5th winning CL and Arsenal win Europa we don’t qualify.

Chelsea 3rd, us 4th and Liverpool 5th could still happen. Although unlikely.

Very unlikely . We would have to get minimum 2 , maximum 3 points from our 3 games, Liverpool lose both their games and Chelsea win all their last 3. And Arsenal would have to win the Europa and Liverpool the CL. . If just 1 of those things doesn’t happen then that scenario can’t happen either. I would like to know the bookmakers odds of such a combination. It’s in fact statistically much less likely than us finishing 5 th .
