After witnessing Chelsea win the CL for the 1st time at our expense I think we can handle this, they've won it before so not as big a deal as say Scum winning it, only main irrititation I have about Scouse winning it is knowing there is very little between us yet they would be again holding aloft a major whilst we get nada mainly due to a kind draw and them getting some momentum at the right time.Liverpool winning the CL would be unbearable. Literally couldn’t banter them for 5 years ?
@piedpiper Why the spam for answering someone's question?

We don't generate that level of pace and intensity that Liverpool or city can muster up which is why as you say we wouldn't have beaten city regardless, as good a team as we are we are too predictable and lacking the speed of thought and physical movement to disturb some sides.This. It makes our decent season look pointless in comparison.
We are a better side than them too, that the annoying thing. In a big meaningful one off cup game though, well, we wouldn’t have dealt with their run of competition as well as they did. City would have knocked us out.
Does anyone else know if this is correct as I haven't seen it mentioned on this thread.Just read as things stand we don't qualify for the CL if Liverpool get knocked out the top 4 position and we finish 4th and they win the Cl and Arsenal win the Europa.
True. We must finish above Chelsea.Just read as things stand we don't qualify for the CL if Liverpool get knocked out the top 4 position and we finish 4th and they win the Cl and Arsenal win the Europa.
For that to happen Chelski would have to finish 3rd which is highly unlikelyJust read as things stand we don't qualify for the CL if Liverpool get knocked out the top 4 position and we finish 4th and they win the Cl and Arsenal win the Europa.
For Liverpool to get knocked out of the top four position and for us to finish 4th, would mean either Arsenal or Burnley to finish 3rd and that is NOT going to happen.Just read as things stand we don't qualify for the CL if Liverpool get knocked out the top 4 position and we finish 4th and they win the Cl and Arsenal win the Europa.
If Chelsea finish third and we finish 4th with pool 5th winning CL and Arsenal win Europa we don’t qualify. For Liverpool to get knocked out of the top four position and for us to finish 4th, would mean either Arsenal or Burnley to finish 3rd and that is NOT going to happen.
The 3rd place position is totally in our hands as we do not have to rely on any results in the teams around us to achieve this. We just have to win our remaining games.

Very unlikely . We would have to get minimum 2 , maximum 3 points from our 3 games, Liverpool lose both their games and Chelsea win all their last 3. And Arsenal would have to win the Europa and Liverpool the CL. . If just 1 of those things doesn’t happen then that scenario can’t happen either. I would like to know the bookmakers odds of such a combination. It’s in fact statistically much less likely than us finishing 5 th .Chelsea 3rd, us 4th and Liverpool 5th could still happen. Although unlikely.
