Can't believe our heavily-rotated side drew at Brighton. Teams challenging for honours would never drop points there. Our manager just lacks the nouse and experience.

Oh.

Could be 2nd by time united play next.

trouble is if Wet Spam lose v Leicester and other results go the way I want them, I'd rather finish 3rd and see Wet Spam go down.

not a good result for chances of seeing Liverpool fall out now, Brighton might not fight as much in the final game, so if we are to definitely finish 3rd then beating WBA and Newcastle is a must unless Chelsea win or draw with them Sunday

Yup agree on West Ham. But 2nd would really shut everyone up, and pretty funny United come 3rd in a 2 horse race ?

Don’t agree on Brighton easing off can see hughton won’t let that happen. They could easily get a draw at Anfield. Liverpool in real danger if lose to chelsea imo.

Part of me worries that without the distraction of Champions League football, Liverpool could win the league next year.

Then I remember that they're fucking Liverpool.

United would have to lose another game where we can’t drop any points. Abit to much imo

Or they could draw their last two? And we still need to win 3....probably not gonna happen, but would be fantastic if it did...

West Ham beating them wouldn’t surprise me at all. Think West Ham are a bit of a bogey team for them. And really we should win our last 3. Depends how much 2nd means to the players.

This season has never been a two horse race. City has been way ahead of the rest with no challenges for the top spot this season. Although it wasnt funny then, it applied when Leicester beat us for the title and the Arsenal overtook us on the last day of that campaign. Two totally different scenarios

But for almost all of the media, before the season it was a two horse race.

Not even before,I’d say 10 -15 games In was still United in the race. “ the title will definitely go to Manchester but red or blue who can say “ the general narrative.

I'm very pleased for Chris Hughton, who has shown signs of turning into a really good manager for a few years now, but has never quite had the squad to demonstrate it. He's gone about it the right way, learning from coaching under more experienced managers and getting a seasoned feel for what it takes to assemble and maintain a team.

Brighton have been this good all season, they just lacked the collective confidence to get the results that their play merited until their recent match against us and now tonight.

Last summer, the large majority of experts and pundits picked at least 2 out of the 3 promoted sides to go straight back down. Unless Huddersfield lose their nerve, it's going to be none of them.

think with Huddersfield's last 3 matches and GD they might struggle. think their only hope is Southampton don't pick up 3pts from their remaining 3 games, or Swansea fail to pick up at least 2pts. I really hope they snatch a point from somewhere, and both Swansea and Southampton pick up another 3pts and Wet Spam lose all 3.

Great win for Hughton and Brighton. As it stands, United need 4 points from their final 2 games to be sure of second place.

A few months ago I would not have believed we'd be in with a decent shot at second place at the end of the season with no proper home games.

Watched the Brighton game last night. Knockaert was decent, looked like lamela but with an extra yard of pace. Lewis dunk also looks like another emerging centreback
