I think some people need to calm down. There were pre-season threads about what we were expecting this season with the Wembley transition. Many, myself included, were expecting top six at best. It will be disappointing to miss out on top four yes, but only because of the position we were in. If we played worse all season and were never in the top four to begin with, I bet there wouldn't be so many people thinking it will be catastrophic for the future of the club. I don't see it being a disaster or a catastrophe for the club. We're not getting relegated.

Fully agree with this, I would have taken 5th at start of season with Wembley etc, I even said this yesterday in a update, what annoys me so much is how we were in control of top 4 and could throw it away, yet the players don't care as they move on and we have to watch Thurs night football.

Its the "its happened again" bollocks too....

Are you kidding?! From the position we were in it would be a monumental clusterfuck and indicate that we have flawed characters in the team. It’s not about Wembley. It’s about character.

I’m dreading Wednesday now.

No i'm not kidding. I didn't say it wasn't a clusterfuck.

One massive plus for us is that Huddersfield aren't mathematically safe, but a point against Chelsea would probably make them safe. Even if they just dig in like they did today and got a point it would be huge. That 92nd minute goal yesterday could very well be absolutely massive.

It’s not so much the bed wetting that’s annoying in here it’s some people’s grasp of primary one mathematics.

Anyway we have had a really shit few weeks and the boys need to win these next 2 game so don’t give w shit how, just get six points. It would be unforgivable not to have CL football in the first season at our new home given how epically we have fucked up in the league. If we win our next next 2 games we finish 3rd and Poch should be hammering this to the team day in day out till the end of the season.

What todays result at Stamford Bridge means is that we go into the next two home games looking up not down, Christ we can get third and not oh God we might end up fifth.

That's how I view it but by all accounts this is borderline happy clapping so fuck knows ... I'm at a loss at how I am meant to approach these next two games as a fan ...

At least the last two games now mean something. Leicester could end up being like a cup final with the prize being CL football. With our history of winning the individual huge games with prizes on the line I'm extremely confident.

Put yourself in their shoes for a moment. Imagine with two games to go, the only way to finish above Chelsea is if they lost to Newcastle or Leicester at Stamford Bridge, or somehow fucked up both of those games, while we won against Huddersfield and away to Newcastle. How many of us would be feeling confident, regardless of form?

Not quite that easy though is it? There have been times this season where we looked like we could catch United but each time we stumbled to close the gap, we had opportunities in the game against Juve where we could have went though and didn’t, in the FA Cup again we failed to show up. There is a time when we must wonder what the fuck is stopping us from taking the next step up the ladder.

Just checked form table since we beat Chelsea and Liverpool have dropped more points than us. Made me feel a bit better!
Yes but they might feel a bit better if they become champions of Europe I could certainly like to have a bit of that.

Hope the players dont share your thoughts.
It would be devastating if we dont get CL. And I think we could see spurs take major steps backwards if this was to happen.

Only a few weeks ago, we were ten points in front of those horrible bastards. Now, we are only TWO.

For the first time in my life, I'm (virtually) speechless and I have a sick feeling twisting my guts around.

If the worst case scenario happens and we finish up in the Ropey League with the scum from The Haemorrhoids Stadium, I won't be responsible for my actions.

We have to batter the barcodes on Wednesday night or else we'll be rightly labelled a bunch of bottle jobs by you-know-who, who are set to play Huddersfield.

For God's sake Tottenham don't do it to us, we don't deserve it!!!
