Chelsea will drop IMO, been watching them and they play an extremely open brand of football but I reckon good teams that have a strong defence will pick them off, Arsenal should have beaten them - they constantly opened them up especially in the full back areas. Azpilicueta isn't that quick and Alonso defensively is suspect, not to mention David Luiz who can be got at. Also as much as how fun it may look it's counter productive to play Kante as anything other than a holding midfielder, there's a big gap between defense and midfield that better teams can exploit.

Chelsea do have nohoper league games to contend with though, which is often worse.

if they rest the main bodies during the groups, it won't have it's toll till later if they start taking it serious. they where very lucky v the goons, and even luckier v Nowcastle (in the way they got their goals). I definitely wouldn't expect them to challenge City, and dependant on results v us, Man U and Liverpool will decide their final status

I think a lot will depend on Kane and Eriksen's fitness, but also on the new stadium. Very few teams smash it in their first year at a new stadium....Athletico Madrid are actually the only ones who come to mind. Hopefully the fact we are coming 'home' to WHL from Wembley will make it slightly easier, but just because the stadium looks amazing doesn't automatically mean we'll settle down to fantastic results straight away.

Arsenal should have been 3 or 4 down before they scored their double

Liverpool September:
Spurs a
PSG h
Southampton h
Chelsea h
Chelsea a
Napoli a
Man City h

They also have before Xmas:
PSG a
Everton h

Later:
Napoli h
United h

It’s very unkind to them and will definitely see them drop points imo.

PSG home first game, confirmed. That is a mental month for them.
They have to play everyone at some point, as do we. Imagine they have a good run during that period, they’ll be buzzing. ‘Pool and Citeh, top two IMO. Unless they screw up...

The run of games makes a massive difference. They’ve got 8 tough games sat/weds be amazed if it doesn’t take its toll. They couldn’t handle it at end of last season and faced nothing like that run.

Our worst run till Xmas is Chelsea/inter/Arsenal. It’s definitely a much kinder spread than Liverpool although we have more away games.

Arsenal have to travel to Azerbaijan and Ukraine. All their 3 away games are followed by 3 away PL games ? they will have a 4K round trip to Ukraine on the Thursday before the NLD ?

depends on how serious they take the early stages, that being their 5th group match they might of qualified by then and rest the main bulk. with ours we don't get the chance to rotate as much

Considering emery record I reckon he will take it pretty serious. And they just don’t have the squad to rest lots. And sporting and qarabag are no mugs. Honestly think Everton at least will come above them.

All I'm saying is the week we play them is our hardest week, facing Chelsea to then face Inter who are strongest team out of pot 4 with all their signings, and if by then are gelling could be the fixture that decides if we are in the CL or EL, to then face an Arse team without being able to really rotate for the previous 2 games in a fixture where I doubt Arse will be fielding that many that played on the Thursday makes it a lot tougher game. the week before they play Bournemouth who might be doing well now, but lets see how tough it is when they play them. I know I'd rather be playing Bournemoth, Inter then the goons

Although we all feel a bit flat. 9pts from 4 games is our best start under poch.

such a shame we couldn't close out a point yesterday in what was a hard game. 9 from 4 is good though, especially considering 3 away games. Can't lose against Liver though, that would undo the good work.
