All I’d say to people is if we drop at all after Cardiff don’t panic. We have a run of 8 very tricky games. But then have a lovely run of 10 with 7 at home. And our run in is 6 home 4 away. So basically if after next 9 games we are within touching distance of top 4 we should be fine.

What if we drop points against Cardiff? Can we panic then? :barefoot:

with 31 more games to play we don't need to have tricky 8 game runs, we need to preform in those 8, because the 10 after that puts to much pressure on the team

I like the fact that we haven't drawn any games, draws are just as bad as defeats imo.

I agree drawing isn't a great result, but 1pt can be the difference to winning the title or top 4, i'd take a point. if you offered me 3 draws now v City x2 and Pool away I'd snap your hand off

Not sure you thought that through. Yes if at the end of a season you could split draws into wins and loses you'd be better off. Apart from that a draw is always better than a loss.

I think the point maybe he is trying to make is generally a braver approach is more beneficial. Always going for the win as opposed to grinding out draws. Clearly united will draw a lot more games than any other of the top 6.

As above, it’s better to win a match and lose the next one than to draw both. Therefore if we have more defeats but less draws we could potentially end up with more points.

Obviously but if we turned those losses into draws we'd have 2 more points...ultimately the statement doesn't make any sense lol

Yeah but saying a loss is as bad as a draw makes no sense.

but we never looked like we were brave v Watford or Liverpool, in which I'd of taken a draw and 2pts instead of losing both with 0pts

Cardiff is going to be tough on Sat with our injuries, they have had a rest all week and we are going to have a make shift team it seems who will be knackered..... I am going on Sat and hope we can put on a performance but im worried about Sat with the injury news and fact we are are going to be shattered after tomorrow (chasing ball through the game is tough)

Cardiff are worst team I’ve seen in PL in a long time. Should win at least 3-0 even with injuries.

Win today and at worst we will be 2 points behind City and/or Liverpool by the end of the weekend.

With the goons level on points with us, it would be good to see them start dropping some. They've been very lucky in some of the matches I've watched but have momentum. I would then start to feel a lot more comfortable with our top 4 chances, especially with Utd seemingly imploding a bit and are 5 points behind us already, so hopefully they continue with the in-fighting.

First up, 3 points against Cardiff!

Yep, and United finished above us last season!

A draw is never, ever as bad as a loss. Never.

Well apparently Maureen will be gone this evening regardless of todays result so if they get the right man in they are capable of catching us before season is finished.
Arsenal have been shit lucky so hopefully when they play better teams they'll be exposed. Then we'll see how they deal with that.
