Well apparently Maureen will be gone this evening regardless of todays result so if they get the right man in they are capable of catching us before season is finished.
Arsenal have been shit lucky so hopefully when they play better teams they'll be exposed. Then we'll see how they deal with that.
That report was in the Daily Mirror. The guy on Football Focus reckons they will stuck with him for a while, which seems likely considering the lack of credible alternatives. So I think we don't need to worry about them poaching Poch just yet...

I'm not worried about it. Nothing I can do so why worry?
I don't think Poch would go this season anyway.
Even if he did go now or next season it doesnt mean it'd see Man U flying. Different managing overpaid monster egos to our squad and whoever takes over for us might be amazing. What will be will be.
I hope Maureen stays at man u because I hate the big headed twat and love watching him fail although his ego wont allow him to look in the mirror. Its everyone elses fault he's shit at his job.

Real Madrid just lost again. Their manager won't last the season.
Even with Utds crazy come back I wouldn’t be surprised if Poch becomes very much in demand over the winter. I can’t see him taking Utd but RM... it really depends on how things are between himself and Levy.

It’s a bit of a downer that we’re realistic that this might be Poch’s last season at the club.

Poch wants a project. If Levy backs him, he stays. If he goes, it's the owners we need to be forcing out.

As a benchmark lets use the 2016-17 season where we finished 2nd on 86 pts,
Tottenham P11 W5 D 6 L0 F15 A5 GD +10 PTS 21
Where were at
Tottenham P8 W6 D0 L2 F15 A7 GD8 PTS18

Thats not bad. i.e. 1 win in the next 3 leaves us with a healthy total. I see us getting 4pts from 9 to continue in our best performance form.

We've been very fortunate with fixtures.

The next set of fixtures will tell us where we stand. Currently, the way we're playing means we're going to slide down the table.
Thats it really, the points are papering over the cracks. We have looked poor this season. Really disjointed and unimaginative. Obviously injuries don't help but I feel it goes further then that. We should have beaten a frankly awful 10 man Cardiff team buy 3 or 4 instead of by 1 rather scrapy goal.

Best ever premier league start for us
Poch had a good take on this improvement needed but with the WC and injuries no one out of the top group has had a tougher start so happy with where we are and room to improve - COYS!

But we've also played 5 out of the 8 fixtures away from "home". If we can play our last 13 home fixtures at the New Stadium (starting with Burnley in December), we should be able to finish in the top 4.

Don't forget, teams notoriously start badly in a new stadium, always happens.

West Ham (A)
Man City
Wolves (A)
Crystal Palace (A)
Chelsea

Those are our next five league games to take us to December. We also have three must win Champions League games (PSV x2 and Inter) and a League Cup game at West Ham.

If we win all five league games that puts us on a points tally of 33/39. That would be amazing. A poster above showed the stats for the start of 2016/17 and it brought back the memories of those run of draws. This season we have won games we didn't deserve to and in previous years would have drawn. Once we start clicking hopefully a streak of big wins is on the cards.

But it's not really a "new stadium" is it? It's White Hart Lane on steroids. Liverpool and Man United didn't suffer when expanding their stadiums did they?

At least that's the attitude I'm taking ;)

Having a stand put in is in no way the same as a brand new stadium. Whether you like it or not, ours is a brand spanking new stadium, despite the location of the plot. We will still need to adjust to it.

Fair enough but if we adjust to it as well as we did to far bigger challenge of moving to Wembley we should be alright.
