got it, so over the next 18 matches, we can probably lose some and win some, and meet easy and hard teams, and other teams have to play their matches, too. (y)

The point is our fixtures are incredibly unbalanced in regard to home and away. And we have no idea when we actually will be truly home. If we did go home December 15th which is the start of the 7/10 home run it could make a significant difference.

We've lost every good side we've faced. Debatable to say whether United are a good side this season.

Every proper test against a side, Watford, Liverpool, Inter and Barcelona we have lost.

You can spin the united result anyway you wish to, but for me, it was a freak game where we were pathetic in the first half, and then very clinical in the second.

Generally, I am not convinced by us at all and would have us currently 4th/5th best team in the league, behind City, Liverpool, Chelsea and between Arsenal and us it is up in the air.
Definitely wouldn’t rule Man Utd yet.

There is something very wrong at our club. We can see it on the pitch, no energy no passion, been that way all season. That is just the players, I think Poch is making some very odd tactical decisions and almost seems to be trying to make a point by not playing anyone from the academy. Add to this we seem to be a mess off the pitch too not just with the stadium fiasco but with players contract - remember in the summer when we thought contract renewals were done but just being stored up in case we didn’t sign anyone well where is the extension for Eriksen or Dele ? Our owners have taken their eyes off the ball and got them firmly fixed on the stadium and flogging the club. I fear the wheels could well and truly come off our season in the next month. Hope I’m wrong but there is just nothing positive coming out of the club right now.

Think you are a bit to negative here.
I agree that we dont look that good on the pitch lately. But im hoping that we will strike good form soon.
Even with our injuries, stadium delay and dodgy form we are now 2 points from the top. We have never had 18 point after the first 8 games before.
So think we all need to cheer up a bit and not forget the positives.

Another positive is playing pretty dour after 8 games and being only 2 points off the top behind Chelsea, Liverpool and City who have all supposedly had amazing seasons.

But yeah I think our luck may run out soon. West Ham away, city at home then lots of games in a short time..... If we’re in the top 4 after all that then that’s some going.

Was thinking the same. We are pure shite at the moment compared to us normally under Poch and we are 2 pts off the top. We now need to improve on the pitch and actually build on this good platform but now against better teams

Well we are 4th/5th and only 2 points off top. Liverpool are stuttering,
So i dont think all is that bad once eriksson, ali and co is back.

I think the opposite, i think getting back home will mean we ride on a crest of a wave, i think we will be unplayable when we get in

I agree. It’s all set up for it to work in our favour and I’ll tell you why. It’s because the other teams will be up in arms over us using two stadiums this season if we get good results in NWHL. There will be moaning and complaining from other managers (I can see Klopp doing it now) about it and it will be something the media pick up on and try and drag us down with it.

Funny old weekend, struggled to a tight win at home against Cardiff leaving us all a little unenthused, Arsenal win 5-1 and chelsea win 3-0 and we end up halving the points gap to the top. Funny old game Football as a great man used to say.:)

We have also played 5 of our 8 games away (I'm ignoring the fact that Wembley could also be counted as away). The second half of the season will see us play a great number of home games than away, and that could help us for the run in, once we get back home!

We definitely won’t be able to keep flying under the radar if we are still in touch with the top then.

One thing Poch has been trying to drum into our players since he’s arrived is that we must be consistent with our performances. I’ve got a feeling our performances isn’t what he wants, but he’ll be pleased with the consistent results, I can bet you that.

I also think people have forgotten how bad we were at the start of last season too. Have a look at the league fixtures and think back to then, especially at home. We haven’t been that much different. https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/matches/first-team/

I think our fixture list has covered over a lot of the cracks. If we don’t come back from the break with some zip back in our club then I think the following few weeks will be painful.

For fuck sake, the bed wetters are in.

We're 2 points off the top, just behind the much lauded citeh and Liverpool, and we are in the midst of the most turmoil and injuries the club has been through in a good few years.

We are doing just fine

The period of time coming up is the same period where we've completely fallen apart during the last two seasons. I genuinely think it cost us the title in 16/17. West ham and man City as well as various cup fixtures will not be easy, let alone with a limited squad. We must beat west ham, but we've really struggled against them in recent years. This period will define our season

Yep. Best ever start for Spurs to a Premier League season and the usual suspects all over this site are behaving pathetically; pissing their pants and melting over everything. It's a joke.
