Agree. But whats even more annoying is the media only seem to throw it at us.
Same as the label of selling players to bigger clubs. Arsenal never get that thrown at them but they've a far worse record than us imo.
Yeah, with the whole Spursy thing we do get it worse than others, but we’re certainly not the only ones.

He wouldn't replace any one of them. He would add to them. Options...

I think like the media and most people, most years, you're exaggerating how good Liverpool are. Almost every single season they're predicted, even by our fans, to finish above us and yet they've done it once in 10 years and that was the season we sacked AVB for being dogshit. And they bottled the title when it was in their hands.

Each and every of the last 4 seasons we haven't bottled finishing above Liverpool, whereas they have often capitulated in the last few games.

Last year when in the last few games we passed both Chelsea and Liverpool comfortably in the end.
They'll burn out in the second half of the season, especially if they go a long way in Europe again.

Forgetting that pool went all the way to the cl final? They clearly prioritized that competition from the semi's onwards causing them to drop points in the prem.

I think pool are at the same level as we once were a couple of seasons ago. The interesting thing is that we actually have a better squad now then we did then IMO......under-performing? Or have we peaked as a unit? I dont know.

Im tempted to say stale instead - we have gone stale.

We can NOT have liverscum winning the league and they must be stopped. Hopefully tomorrow

We've not gone stale. Weve been crippled by injuries and we're still 3rd in the league.
Son Alli Eriksen and Kane have played 1 league game together all season.
I'd like to see Liverpool or any of the other top 6, inc City, cope as well with the amount of injuries we've had plus the disappointment of playing in that shit hole Wembley when we want so desperately to play at our new home.
I think we'll get better and better this season and start flying once we get into nwhl.
I think Chelsea will miss out again this season.

We are stale... by that i mean our performances are lethargic etc and that is perhaps a sign of staleness...

All teams have had injuries though, we have yes but so have everyone else,

Dont take me saying we have gone stale as suggesting we are not doing well - far from it..

I think you're right, we are stale or are going stale but there are lots of mitigating circumstances that we can look towards as to why this maybe the case:

Injuries - We've had a shit load of injures to deal with to key players and our first teamers have spent the most amount of days out through injuries than any of our rivals this season, I think I read a stat that every player that has come back late from the WC who didn't have a pre season has been injured at some point this season, which leads me onto...

World Cup hangover - It's overlooked by many but not having a pre season means you're paying catch up with everyone else, a two weak rest period means that you're still mentally and physically burnt out, we had 8 first eam players playing in the latter stages of the tournament, more than anyone else.

Constant delays to the stadium ad Wembley - Been on and off all season and going by the latest quotes from some of the players they seem pissed off at the fact that we still don't have a home and Wembley is pants, fans are starting to make this known as well and I hae no doubt that the empty seats and general atmosphere transcends to the players.

Not freshening the squad in the summer - Although this is our fault obviously but you can't help but think that if we bought 1 or 2 in it would have kept a couple of players on their toes and would have helped us out a bit, not really an excuse but probably a catalyst as to why some players are flagging.

So we may have gone stale and stagnated a little but I don't think you can compare us to our rivals this season particularly Liverpool for those reasons.

Why are people assuming that when we move into the new stadium we’re going to suddenly spring into life. It’s not WHL.

It’s a brand new stadium with a totally different feel to it which everyone at the club, including us, are going to have to get used to. Also, our Wembley form is pretty good these days so I think it’s very optimistic to think we’re going to suddenly improve our home record.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not definitely saying we won’t but the amount of spurs fans I see on here and come across in the real world are just taken it as a given like we’re not going to drop any points at the new WHL and they’ll be no bedding in period. Crazy if you ask me and I think a lot of you might be a tad disappointed when we do move in.

I think the buzz will lift everyone, but yeah I guess if everyone is as flat sounding as you mate, you'll probably be right ?

Have to say it’s only when you see Sevilla had a net spend of -£25m the two full seasons Emery was there you realise what a good job he did. Looking at their squad on paper I really thought they’d struggle as United are. However they are topping the running stats and I’ve a feeling they may burn out and injuries will start coming. I think they will tail off and we will be comfortably clear of them.
That wasn't Emery, that was Monchi's doing(who is now at Roma). He is an expert at getting young or forgotten talent for next to nothing. He does tend to spread bet, but although his tactics are unorthodox, he is one of the best DoF in world football.

Thing is though, our results at Wembley are incredible. Better I think than any year at WHL bar the final year....

So it’s a valid question: given the delays and given the uncertainty principle of moving to a new stadium with new pressures - if we are within striking distance of a title shot

Or in a vicious tight battle for top four

Do we REALLY want to move this season?

Obviously us fans do because we don’t like Wembley and want to be “home”. But our record proves Wembley is a fortess points wise for us as a team.

It’s actually a bit of a head fuck.

Or, we've continued to get better under Poch, and in our new home we'll be even stronger.

One thing is for sure, the atmosphere will be better and that will only help in enhancing performance.

I certainly don't think it will be a negative affect though, we certainly adapted to Wembley quick enough.

Update..

The (expected) ‘top 6’ are judged against the following ridiculously high expectation: they will win ALL home games; they will win all away games – except those against ‘top 6’ rivals, which they will lose. That would give a total of 105 points.
As the season progresses a running total is kept of points dropped or gained against that standard (examples: City draw at Wolves = minus 2; City win at Arsenal = plus 3).

After 15 games
(deviations from expectation shown)

Both City and Liverpool – remarkably – remain on course for 100+ points seasons. In the battle of the following Londoners, Chelsea have gone leaky and ourselves and the horrible Arse edge ahead.

City +5 Arse(a)+3; Wolves(a)-2; Liv(a)+1; Spurs(a)+3
Liv +3 Spurs(a)+3; Chels(a) +1; City(h)-2; Arse(a)+1
Spurs -6 Utd(a)+3; Wat(a)-3; Liv(h)-3; City(h)-3
Arse -8 City(h)-3; Pal(a)-2; Liv(h)-2; Wolves(h)-2; utd(a)+1
Chels -11 WH(a)-2; Liv(h)-2; Utd(h)-2; Everton(h)-2; wolves(a)-3
Utd -16 BHA(a)-3; Spurs(h)-3; wolves(h)-2; WH(a)-3;Chel(a)+1; Pal(h)-2; soton(a)-2; Arse(h)-2

Don't think we are a stale
perhaps a bit tired
which injuries
and fixture pressure
have made worse.

But transfers don't always work
see Man.Utd. in particular
Pogba, Fred, Sanchez for a start
200 million give or take
some loose change
We've bought a few duds
in our time too.

There is a case to be made
for a well integrated team
under a long stay manager
who know and understand each other
with some youthful back up
reared in the right way.

Be careful what you wish for.
One wrong signing can break the bank
and disrupt the squad.
Pleased we are going a different way.

NWHL should launch a new phase
for the club's progress
for fans and players alike.
in every way.

If you look at overall performance on a percentage scale. We surely have to improve in the new stadium. It’s hard to imagine it’s going to make us worse. If you took Liverpool out of Anfield and they played at a neutral venue there’s no way they are going to improve for that. It’s also hard to imagine that with the proximity to the pitch and steepness of stands that the atmosphere is gonna anything else but electric.

Agree. We didn't take long to get going at Wembley and that was a way bigger pitch and the atmosphere isnt the best.
The players and fans WANT to play at NWHL now.
I'm not worried abput a transition at all and think we'll hit the ground not only running but improve.

Must win tonight if we want to keep in touch with Liverpool. If we lose we will be 9 points behind them. Absolute must win to cut the gap to 6 points and to keep within relative touching distance.
