but as I've posted before if we can catch and stay in front, we will then need to win or draw away to Liverpool, City and Chelsea also beat Arse and Man U at home. All 6 pointers except the Man U fixture at the moment.

Yeah we'll have to take points in those big games for sure.

Although have just seen we'll play midweek away to the Chavs on the Wednesday before the NLD, and Arsenal will play Bournemouth at home on the Tuesday.

Fucks again will have a slight advantage going into the derby.

yep every season we have at least 1 batch of 3 London derbies. shame that the FA Cup or Carabao Cup Final isn't the beginning of March

Liverpool's next 5 league games:

Man United - home
Wolves - away
Newcastle - home
Arsenal - home
City - away

That's a pretty tough festive period. Would be very surprised if they didn't drop 4/5 points there.

We take care of our business we could be right on their coat tails going into the new year.
City away are the only points dropped I can see there.

I can see Utd getting a draw at Anfield. They're always up for it against Liverpool. They'll be hard to break down defensively with the traditional Mourinho set up, and they have attackers that can hurt if given the chance.

Ordinarily I'd probably agree but you have to factor in the rest period between games.

Look at the difference between us against Chelsea and Arsenal. Night and day in terms of energy.

Big games so close together make it more difficult, no doubt about it.

Injuries will play a massive part. It's only really Man City who can cope with them. If any of the other teams in the battle lose a big player or two, they're going to be in trouble.

Everyone always talk about how we'd cope without Kane, but City looked toothless without Augero. Jesus really hasn't kicked on as a player, and is short on confidence, and they just really on a false nine system that can be combated.

Liverpool only have 6 fit defenders and 3 of those are Moreno lovren and matip. Gomez is a massive loss for them. If anything happens to Vvd it’s basically over for them.

To add some perspective. Each squad contains no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the "Home Grown Player" (HGP) criteria.
The rest of the squad, up to a total of 25 players, must be "Home Grown".

A normal Jose team is strong defensively, but not this one, they have conceded 26 goals and only scored 28, they may well be up for it, but I'd be surprised if they got anything out of that game.

Him and the goalie. If they have Mingolet between the posts they are also fucked. Somebody should be in Fellaini's ear to give him a massive whack at the weekend.

Kind of like having Jan, Davinson, Trippier, and Rose all out at the same time. They'll survive.

Not really they have much less defensive cover than us. Essentially we have 7 or 8 at a push that can play CB. They have 4 then I’m struggling maybe Fabinho can.

I really wish people here would stop overrating Liverpool and City so much. It's as if you guys are getting your excuses in early in case we're unable to challenge for the title.

Six points adrift from first, with more than half a season to go and you guys don't want to entertain the possibility of winning the title just because you want to sound realists or some shit like that? I get pundits talking like that but, IMO, we fans should be more mathematical when assesing our team's title hopes.

Exactly!
If city or pool had our injuries and pre season would they have as many points as us?

Wow, hitting the festive period is the last time you want new injury concerns.

Bound to see fatigue and more injuries now. Fixtures coming thick and fast will take its toll.
