Personally I don't begrudge them if they win the title as they are ambitious and hired a good manager then backed him with investment which in turn will reap rewards for them.

No fucking way. They're unbearable precious fuckers. Urgh.... Like urghhhhhhh

I see what you're saying but at the same time it's not like we had much choice. We're in the midst of an injury crisis in the middle of the park with Wanyama, Dembele, and Dier all unavailable for the foreseeable future and our fixture congestion was such that Poch felt he needed to rotate. We can't recall the loanees until January so Skipp was the only option.

It will be interesting to see what we do with Onomah once the transfer window is open again. Reading through his thread in the Loanwatch forum it really seems as though he definitely needs to get out of his current loan. If he continues to be overlooked despite the obvious need for central midfielders then you may well be right that the writing is on the wall.

I was reading an arricle by Windycoys where he mentions our academy prospects, he referenced our injuries and that being an opportunity for academy prospecs to get game time or about the only time they brought through.

If i look at Skipp on Saturday he fared okay and gave an assured performance. Were it not for tthe injury situation would he have gotten the chance... Same with KWP.

There has to be a planned progression into the 1st team squad. Something about bringing through our own youth is so much more satisfying.

Not sure where else to post this and haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere but our Christmas schedule is a bloody disgrace. Meanwhile they've rolled out the red carpet for Liverpool and City. I understand it's a lot to do with tv scheduling but there's no way 1 team should have 10 days rest and another only 6.

Whilst I agree this looks unfair, a few seasons ago we had a massive gap between playing Southampton and someone else (can’t remember)

It’s interesting what the rest times are for our actual opponents over the Xmas period...looks pretty similar?...think only Everton benefit and that’s cos we have the Carabo Cup this week??

That is ridiculous. How that can be deemed fair is beyond me.

Not too fussed about those rest times. It will catch up with them later in the competition especially if they remain in the cup competitions.

Yeah that's right, injury nightmare and no true home advantage for a year half now
Fair point. I was thinking just about games, not situation around club. And we just won with Burnley after goal in 90min so you could say that it was lucky.

I think its telling that he blooded Skipp without going back for Onomah or Edwards. Writing is on the wall IMO.
Edwards is completely the wrong style of player for the position we needed (have Son, Moura & Lamella in that ‘creative running with the ball’ area) we needed to fill the role that Dier, Dembele & Wanyama normally play

Lies, damned lies and statistics.

That graph shows that we have 10 days off during that time period. The only reason it can be quoted as 6 is when it looks at time off between the games within that time period. The season continues both before and after this chart so you can't draw any meaningful conclusion from it.

If you moved our game with Everton any earlier people would complain about no rest between that and the Arsenal game midweek. If you moved the Cardiff game later people would complain about no rest before the United game the following Sunday. If you extend the graph just one game earlier and later the rest periods even out a lot.

Liverpool are away to Man City at the end of this busy period in what might be their most important league game of the season. That's an 8pm kick off on a Thursday night. They then have to travel to Brighton for a 3pm kick off that Saturday. I'm sure that each of the big teams can point to equally baffling scheduling throughout the season.

WHO THE FUCK SAID I IDENTIFY AS A FUCKING MAN, Eh?!
The term "man" (from Proto-Germanic*mannaz or *manwaz "man, person") and words derived from it can designate any or even all of the human race regardless of their sex or age. In traditional usage, man itself refers to the species, to humanity, or "mankind", as a whole.

Unless you are suggesting that you are not a human being.

Liking the goons europa league draw.

Nice long flight. and almost definitely through to the next round. The Europa League doesn't really work its magic until about march/april. At that point it becomes clear that progression, plus games in other cups means getting toward a 60 game season. The injuries and fatigue start to kick in and impacts on league form. Which culminates in a league finish that means another Europa league campaign next season as well.

Will also affect the racists, but their squad probably can cope a little better

Football won mate, they deserved to lose!
Of course!! Liverpool had 36 shots to 6 United. Saying that they were lucky cause two goals were from reflection clearly means that someone is biased. They won deservly.

Although, I have to admit that I wanted United to win after 95min penalty given after Ashley Young dive just outside the penalty area.

The more shots they had the luckier they got.

Good teams who dominate tend to be "lucky". You won't get any luck if you don't try to score.

Agree. Apart from Son I actually don’t think we shoot enough from distance generally these days.

I remember the amount of goals Lampard used to score from deflected efforts for example.
