one game at a time. lets see where we stand 30th march, just before kick off v liverpool

I wish we were playing Liverscum, at Anfield, next weekend instead of manure - that would have been very interesting... if we are within touching distance still come 30th March id be a) very surprised and b) very excited

Me and a couple of Spurs fans were in the pub and we went mental at the final whistle.

The belief is there. We can go to Anfield, Etihad and Stamford Bridge and win. BELIEVEEEEEEEEEEE!

We are definitely top of the English Premature League

Sky Sports host just had the cheek to say "tempted to include Tottenham in the title race"! We're two fucking points behind City, that's all! The hatred for us from Sky is embarrassing.
TBF we don't deserve to be considered in the title race, considering our track record

We only do well when there is no pressure on us

And imagine Dembele comes back refreshed, could be huge for us in the second half of the season.

Away at Anfield, him and big Mo in midfield.

Back four of Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Rose.

Usual front four up top. Game on.

Little more complicated than that though. Most teams spent a lot more money than us, liverpool outspent us every year for years as did arsenal but we finished above them.
TBF last year liverpool only finished below us because they were in the CL final otherwise they would played a stronger team at 100% on the final day

Also those teams have needed to spend more money just to catch up

Loving your optimism pinky!! If the scouse draw at Brighton which I think they might then the wheels may really start to come off.

I think it's disrespectful to not at least include us in the race. If the roles were reversed and we were top and Liverpool were in our position you can bet you're life they'd be included.

And yes we have to play them away, but you're also looking at the team who has the best away record in the league.

We all need to believe.

Maybe that’s why we have the best away record in the league we haven’t played any of the top 4 away

We're punching well above our weight, and we're consistently up there. We should be praised more if anything.

And in terms of points and the table, we're pretty much in the race whether the media include us or not.

I think the last time we won at liverpool VDV scored, its been over 7 years

In the past 15 years we have overcome a lot of bad records but despite finishing above liverpool, we have developed a new bad record and been consistently shite against them

Got a draw at Anfield last season, beat Chelsea but lost to City. So mixed last season but we're getting better with the big away games.

I watched that game and just wonder if we have that in us? Yes we have the quality, we are as good as both teams on our day without any doubt whatsoever, buy do we have that inner strength?
Another interesting thing is whether either of those teams in a game against us would be as cautious? Do they think "come on lads, it spurs" and go at us believing that we will buckle?

I'm not sure?

But the margins are very fine and getting finer all the time. We are in the title race, the whole nation knows it, perhaps the last people to really believe is our fan base?

So what we are punching above our weight,

We get ALOT of praise considering teams like arsenal and chelsea often get none now and teams like liverpool didn't get much before after Suarez left except from their homer pundits

We have never put a real challenge to the title despite finishing 2nd or 3rd. Leicester were punching above their weight and more so than us but they overcame that barrier that we haven't shown it yet.

Until we do, no one will praise more than more than we already get, which is a lot but people focus on the negativity

People on putting us down but we have never proved them wrong. Cant just always point at the wage bill.

To be fair they, much like us before we left WHL, they don’t lose many at Anfield fullstop. So it’s not just us who hasn’t won there recently.

I disagree. We have come through those tough high pressure periods. The week of the NLD we had beaten both Chelsea and inter when not in our best form, had the scum game been first we would have torn them to shreds!

The wolves game had nothing to do with pressure, it was fatigue. We have played so many games and been unable to rest players. Our central midfield killed us that day. Had poch been able to bring on fresh legs in the second half we would have managed the game far better.

So no, I disagree!

Im referring to the last 5 or 6 years

We have assembled a great squad despite having not spent a lot of money. If we were given more money, realistically we couldn't improve the first 11 by much? bar some £80m signing

Im aware this season our injury crisis in CM is terrible atm but our first 11 in the last 3 or so seasons has been one of the best in the PL

I concede we are up against it with these teams always outspending us but we did manage to get to assemble a top team in our low budget

Agree, we have to earn respect by winning. People expecting pundits and writers to kiss our arse for finishing 3rd need to get a grip.
