Makes you think what?
That despite all the transfer shortcomings, injury crisis, lack of quality in our squad depth and still playing at Wembley we could be 2nd before City play again on Sunday.

Jesus it's like you're deemed crazy if you think positively about anything to do with Tottenham Hotspur.

Ah it made me think imagine if we had fixed the glaring holes in our squad what we could have accomplished this season.

Same here. But everyone seems to just think we'll drop off and fall out of the top 4 when we could actually be 2nd in a matter of days. A lot of unnecessary bed wetting and knee jerk reactions.

Yes, we need investment in the squad. But, the one we have are actually doing a remarkable job all things considered. I don't even think we have played our best that much either. Can only pick out a handful of games.

I think the squad and manager have done an unbelievable job considering the circumstances, it's a real shame that football is full of idiots who would rather banter than truly appreciate just what we're doing with the resources we have, overachieving to the max but I'll always have that lingering what if feeling especially with those scouse fucks kicking on.

Actually good potential for us to have a really good week this week. I am nervous about tomorrow, Watford are the type of team to get in our faces and raise their game to play us and I'd be a little cautious even with a fully fit team. If we win though we then have Newcastle on Saturday with Arsenal being away to City and United away to Leicester. Chelsea are also away to Bournemouth tomorrow but Bournemouth are so up and down they could make life difficult for Chelsea and get something or lose 4-0.

Just really hope we do the business. Such a shame we inevitably won't sign anyone to give us that little extra boost.

Personally, I'm waiting until one or two full seasons in the new ground. Poch constantly speaks of the project, the long term ambition to be at the same level as a Real Madrid. The problem is that most fans these days want things now. There is no patience anymore. After seeing Chelsea and City, it's become throw money at it for overnight success. I don't get where our fans get a sense of entitlement towards trophies anyway. Where we started under Ppch to where we are now has been nothing but improvement. Consistently top THREE, not even four, semis at least each season with one final, improvements in the CL.

We had NINE players involved in the World Cup semi finals. More than any other team.

Clearly to Poch and Levy the objective was top four minimum to see us into the stadium at the very least, then kick on from there with the expected higher turnover. He and the players are doing just that.

Liverpool's trajectory has taken four years under Klopp, that wasn't overnight. Yes, he got backed in the market, however they're not dealing with construction delays on a brand new stadium.

What amazes me most about a lot of Spurs fans lately, is how they blatantly ignore what Poch says and expect things to be different. Constantly talks about being brave, about the stadium, the project and yet the ones with little to no patience aren't happy.

exactly. Looks like Liverpool will win the league, but would they be in this position with a circa £1 billion stadium project to deliver and having 2 seasons with playing away from Anfield?? Most certainly NOT !!

And we're there because we deserve to be, despite the crazy injury issues etc, and those players are not far from returning.

I'm not following other clubs transfers but, as far as I'm aware (don't mind being corrected), despite our lack of activity in the market, I don't believe any of our immediate competitors are doing much/any strengthening themselves?

Yeah it looks like Leicester may be doing some decent business, but so what?

Yeah we'd all love to be improving on personnel, without question. But we've been better than at least 16 other teams for the last 3 seasons. So far, despite the crazy issues the whole club has been dealing with, we've been better than 17 other teams.

As long as those nearest to us also decide not to twist, I think we'll be ok this season. What follows? Well it wouldn't be Tottenham if we knew the answer to that.

What you also have to say if they had a month without two or all three of Mane, Salah and Firmino, how would they fare? Very very few teams could cope with all the stuff we have had up to this point. Let's not forget the period of time our manager was all but shipped off by the media to United!

We have a chance tonight to put 9 points and a better goal difference between us an Man Utd, that's what we should be thinking about at this stage, not the title, Arsenal were always going to beat Cardiff, I just don't see them carrying on good form like Man Utd have been doing, and Arsenal are away at Man City this weekend and will surely feel a backlash there so it's up to us to win these bread and butter games at home to Watford and Newcastle to put more daylight between us and them too, we don't have to do it in style we and we may have to graft and grind out victories with our notable absentees we have at the moment. That should be our main focus

If Poch said that people would say he's sacking off the title.

I'm more than a little apprehensive about the upcoming 3 ' bread and butter' home games. All teams who have given us trouble in the recent past and who are probably better away than at home. I think last night's win for Newcastle and their new signings will give Newcastle a huge lift for Saturday and tonights attendance will be very low . I will be surprised and incredibly impressed if we get 9 points from these games. Its not going to be pretty but these points are vital now to give us the best possible chance to secure a top 4 place.
