Win on sat and fuck it im giving us an outside chance. Pressure on city and pool. Pool play west ham (who are due a decent result) away on Monday.
I think where we are now is good enough considering the events of the season so far realistically we are not going to challenge or win the league and we are still to go to Liverpool and city, which as we know our record against the top six away is dreadful almost non existent so top 3 would be a fantastic achievement that none of us could complain about.

I agree but please let us challenge for the title it would be so much more fun.
Wouldn't it be fun to think that Llorente effectively won the title for us last night.
A great couple of nights of football for us either way.

It would be a giant win if we could beat Newcastle before City play scum on Saturday. We'd go second and tons of pressure will be heaped on both teams.

yeah but both of them can't lose :D so question is, who do we want to put more pressure on, Anal or Citeh?

School boy error there WS. Posting after heavy drinking. Don't worry I've corrected your typo (though believe me nobody wants him to succeed more than I do)

Arsenal are 7 points back. We win that will stay the same if they win which puts us in 2nd til next match day or go to 10 if they lose, 8 a draw. Win/win so long as we do our job first.

amazing what the team now are though, massive late winners against Burnley, Fulham and Watford, 2 coming from behind, it isnt a fluke there is something about this team that always believes, it must be so frustrating for our top 4 rivals, 6 points won very late on in the last month or so

Chelsea look like they are imploding now. To lose 0-4 away at Bournemouth and have the manager publicly question (for the second time in just over a week) if he can motivate the players points to them being the team first to drop out of the CL race. Between Man U and Arsenal for 4th/5th, all the momentum with Man U. Hopefully we can hang in there at third and stay within touching distance of Man C / Liverpool.

If, and it's a big 'if', we end up in a title challenge against Liverpool with 3 or 4 games to go, I really think we'll have the mental edge over them to win it.

I call it 'Spursy' ;)

Big game against Newcastle now

A win would mean that either we gain ground on City, or further pull away from Arsenal and strengthen our CL place for next season

But we need that win...!

Edit: Opps, if City and Arsenal draw that would see both of the things above happening. Perhaps that's the best outcome?

At one point last night we were 12 points behind Liverpool, that could be 4 by 3pm saturday.

I dont think we'll win it or force our way back in the race but thats how quickly things can change in this game and why belief is so important.

It happens every season to be fair. It’s why this bottling term is a load of nonsense. Time after time, year after year we win games late on when the chips are down. It’s no fluke, the squad believe in themselves.

As we're playing first we would actually go above Man City - even if only temporarily. An Arsenal Man C draw would be perfect even though we'd drop back to third.

I get that people feel Newcastle is a big game but actually it's just another game, they are all the same now and we seem to be handling it pretty well on that basis.

Could they not have imploded a week ago? Bastards!!

Arsenal won’t catch us...Man Utd are the danger but we are 9 clear plus goal diff. We should do it ok .

It's just nice to play first and put extra pressure on those above and below us

But I get your point
